Late night prepping while the baby is sleeping. This is the only real time I have to get groceries chopped up and packed for the weeks meals. Thanks to we do not have to worry about scheduling time to hit the market for organic fruits and vegetables😀. Delivered right to your door every other week during the month and you get to customize your box, which makes it special. This week I wanted to get some broccoli into our meals. As you see here I used every part of the broccoli, stem and all! Don’t let it go to waste. You can use the stem in morning omelets, smoothies, and fried rice😋.

Testing out my new shoes today thanks to the recommendation from . Trying to get my toes back to as much of their normal state as possible aka "not curled up" but nice and splayed out and flat. These shoes should help me feel the earth much better and get my foot strength back.

I'll be demoing the "horse stance", a pose that is considered one of the foundations to martial arts especially Wu Shu. So why did I chose the horse stance? Well, I'm exploring new modalities of movement and fitness and because the horse stance challenges you in many ways:

1. Foot strength
2. Ankle mobility
3. Adductor/hamstring flexibility & strength
4. External rotation strength of your legs
5. Glute contraction/strength (specifically the glute medius which assists in external rotation of your thigh bone)
6. Pelvic control/strength/neutral positioning
7. Spinal neutral positioning (aka good posture)
8. Diaphragm breathing (aka breathing through your belly)
9. Oblique strength
10. Back strength
11. Balance

Daily Life Habit #3 - Joint Mobilty🤸🏻‍♀️. Get yourself moving out of bed in the morning! I have had this habit of moving my body when I wake up to get the blood flowing throughout my body. Look all it take is at least 10 minutes of your time to treat your body right and get ready for the day. Joint mobility helps the body get the blood circulating, wakes up the tissues between your joints, creates a lubricating liquid for your tendons and fires up endorphins in the body to make your brain feel AWESOME🧠. Some joint movements to do:
🤸🏻‍♀️spine movement on all fours (aka “cat/cow”)
🤸🏻‍♀️ankle circles both clockwise and counter clockwise
🕺🏻hip circles
🙆🏻‍♂️shoulder circles (the time classic P.E. ones you might have done as a kid)
💁🏻‍♂️wrist circles
💆🏻‍♂️neck rotations (up/down, side to side, circles, draw a star with your head)

Over the years, I have accumulated many different viewpoints and knowledge of physical health and what methods have helped me, clients of mine and I hope future generations to come.
I have created "The Wong Method" to continue my journey with all of you and hope to inspire others to join this wonderful group as we as a collective share our experiences and knowledge as one.
