Y’all 😭 “Honest To God” was charting at #75 on the iTunes CHRISTIAN CHARTS and this is the first time something like this has happened for me!! My heart is so full and just want to say THANK YOU 💙 I’ve been reading through all of your messages and wanted to post some of them on here to remind you you’re not alone. Your stories matter and are so powerful! I love you guys sooo much. Keep sharing them 🫶🏼

“Honest To God” is officially out and I’m so glad it’s yours now!! 🫶🏼 If you’re a Christian struggling with your mental health, I hope this song can meet you where you’re at and remind you you’re not alone. I also hope that it is a gentle reminder to reach out for help - you don’t have to continue to suffer in silence and I promise things do get better 🤍

I want to share a little bit about my own journey with some mental health stuff and the season I’ve been coming out of, in hopes it can help someone else and encourage you 🙏🏼 I had walked through an unexpected tragedy around a year ago and was flooded with intense sudden anxiety months later not realizing I had stuffed so much down surrounding it all. I was at point where the anxiety at times felt so crippling and scary that continuing to live this way just felt exhausting and tbh…. wasn’t sure I wanted to somedays. I started opening up with close friends/family and letting them in and I also started going to counseling. God has used it to help me process some really difficult things, identify core wounds, and bring about a lot of healing as well. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted and I feel like myself again! I have no shame in sharing that I needed some profesh help to help me file some trauma correctly in my brain 🧠 + get great coping skills - and let me tell ya, would highly recommend because it does wonders ✨ lol

That being said, I don’t know what you’re walking through right now, but I want you to know it’s okay to not be okay. You’re not “crazy” and it doesn’t mean “you’re not trusting God enough” if uncomfortable feelings aren’t going away immediately. Life gets really hard sometimes and it’s understandable why these things come up. There are AMAZING resources out there to provide support (I’ll be putting some in my IG stories). I know there’s still a bit of a stigma talking about this all, and I hope we can all come together in helping break it. A reminder you’re seen, loved, and your life matters. It’s okay to get honest with God, yourself and others. Ty guys for your support with my music and to all the new fans. I love you guys 🥹

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY 🥹

In a few short weeks, “Honest To God” will be yours 🫶🏼 Seeing in just a short period of time how these snippets of the song have been connecting with y’all has touched my soul 💛 I hope it meets you where you’re at. I hope it’s comforting to your heart in knowing you’re not alone in what you’re going through. I hope it gives you the courage to keep going when life just feels a bit too hard to bear and to know it’s okay to reach out for help. I hope it stirs up conversations about cultivating more safe spaces for others to be honest inside and outside the church building. I hope it brings up more conversations within the faith community about mental health and what resources we can provide for those hurting, grieving, etc. I wrote this song with some friends on a retreat a few years back not knowing how much I would need to hear it in this last year given some tragic events that took place in my personal life and coming out of some challenging times with my own mental health. I want to leave you with a few more things & some scripture below. To those going through the unimaginable, to those walking through anxiety or depression or just a season of grief…God is with you. Society may say there’s a timeline for your “healing” and that you need to instantly “be okay” because maybe they feel uncomfortable with it. God doesn’t. He’s not ashamed of how you’re actually doing and your honesty. Press into grief, be honest with your emotions and know you don’t have to do it alone. As painful as it can be it is a necessary part in the healing journey 🙏🏼
