WVHS BAND London, England
2012-2013 England Band TRIP. Windsor Castle, Tower of London, Oxford, and much more!!!
Instruments are en route to London as of 11:23am! It’s getting real!
Hello all my London Passengers! I was just at TJ Max and saw some great travel items! They had cross body anti theft travel purses for $19.99! They also had clothes packing cubes for your suitcase and they had compression sleeves! These are socks without the feet so that you can put them on and take them off easier!
Hope this helps!
Just in case you were wondering !!! 36 days!
Cheers!
I hope everyone is getting excited about our trip to London!🇬🇧
Here is some important information:
1) The final payment for the Lond Trip is Thursday, October 25! Mrs Hunt will be in the Band Office all that day and after Band practice for an hour to collect money that you would rather not send with your student. If you need to check your balance or your student’s you can email me at [email protected] or phone or text me at 423-255-2501!
2) All passengers must turn in a clear, signed copy of their passport to me! This must be done immediately!
3)The final meeting before our London trip will be Monday, December 3 at 7:00pm in the Walker Valley Auditorium! It is VERY IMPORTANT that you attend this meeting! We will be giving you VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION! PLEASE MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND!
If you have any questions or concerns please contact me!
Kind regards,
Stephanie Hunt
Walker Valley Band and Choir London Trip Coordinator
On Thursday, August 23 we will be having an important London meeting in the WV auditorium at 7:00pm! We will be giving out information on our trip itinerary, our hotel, and ideas for your free time. We will also see if we have enough passengers interested on taking a side trip to Stonehenge and Bath. Cost and details will be given out at the meeting. Don’t forget that your 4th payment of $500 is due and all passengers must have at least $1800 paid on their London Trip!
See you at the meeting!
I highly encourage you to go see a musical while you are in London. We saw “Matilda” and it was fantastic. Below are the musicals I’ve seen in London and I highly suggest you go see one!
1) wicked (clean and my favorite of all)
2) Matilda (clean and amazing special effects)
3) Lion King (very good and family friendly)
4) Billy Elliot (one of my all time Favs but has some language and some adult content so beware!)
5) Stomp - (good but I want a story)
Also we ate at an Italian Restaurant called Zonzos off of The Edgeware Road underground station. Home made Italian pasta! One of the best dishes I’ve had in London, ever!!
Plan to see a musical and have a nice meal!!! We will have the itinerary to you soon!
