Birth is not the exception. Our body goes through drastic changes, new physical and emotional experiences that can build up lots of unknowns. We do the research. We ask the questions. We build our dream team. And yet, the motherhood and parenthood transition is full of unknowns.
AND, that's OKAY!
It is thus important that we understand that 🅢🅐🅕🅔🅣🅨 is an illusion.
Each of us has different values and priorities and desires. Therefore, each of us will have a different risk-to-benefit ratio analysis for every choice. Period.
What's a stressor or risk to you may not be the same stressor or risk as the person standing next to you. What makes you feel safe and loved and support probably won't be the same for me.
AND, that's OKAY.
We can make all the decisions out of fear and take all the precautions and yellow tape up everything. Yet, is that a way to truly LIVE?
Not in our opinion. We make informed, intuitively guided choices out of LOVE. We accept that birth is full of unknowns and many forks in the road. We believe in a growth mindset that includes surrender and adaptability in the recipe. And we believe in Innate Intelligence that blankets this Earth and Universe.
If you haven't accepted that death is an inevitable chapter of life, could you say that you are truly living?
Back to birth, put in motion your dream birth in alignment with your values. Do the research, build the team, gather the materials. Get clear on the risks/benefits for every possible choice. Create a family-wellness or medical philosophy and then make choices with that philosophy at the backbone.
Own it.
Let go.
Evolve.
