I know many of us decorate our doors and with fire marshals coming in to make sure decorations are in compliance, things can get tricky. How cute are these!?! What quote would you put on your door?

Absolutely.
So we all can tell the difference between a sharp and a hashtag... I actually write on the board when someone calls it a hashtag. My 4th and 5th graders think I'm hilarious when I do that. 🤣
My students loved composing with Incredibox and now they've teamed up with M&Ms for a special version. So cool!

Check out this amazing idea from Ms. Silvestri's Music Room! What a fantastic way to join the craze and help engage your kids! Absolutely love it!!
Pokemon is all the rage this summer! Did you know almost all of the Pokemon names can be fit into two beats? Challenge your students to create rhythm compositions by brainstorming their favorite Pokemon. And then you'll have to "clap them all!" :)
Here are some examples to inspire you, but they can be done in different time signatures and rhythms too! I've also included a rhythm refrain in the first comment below.

I LOVE this!! Cross-curricular lessons are some of my favorite kinds and help our students build an interwoven network of knowledge and skills.
