Terji Skibenæs, born on December 27, 1982 in Skipanes, Eysturoy, Faroe Islands, is a Scandinavian guitarist and tattoo artist, best known for being the lead guitarist of the group Týr Faroese viking metal. His first group was Flux, a small group Faroese in playing guitar. In April 2001, he performed with his group Terji Flux in a contest in the Faroe Islands, which also involved the group Týr, at which Terji and Heri Joensen, founder and lead singer of Týr, met. Heri Joensen was impressed by the skill and talent of Terji with the guitar, and in December 2001 offered Týr join as a guitarist. Terji accepted, becoming the lead guitarist Týr only 19 just turned, being the youngest member of the group. In 2003 Terji Týr abandoned, but in 2004 rejoined the group.
