Freret - Milan Neighbors United: The Neighborhood Organization for the Freret and Milan Neighborhoods The Neighbors United area extends from Jefferson Ave.

Since its founding in 1974, Neighbors United has represented the needs of all of the residents of the Freret and Milan neighborhoods, property owners and renters alike. on the west to General Taylor St. on the east and from Claiborne Ave. on the North to Dryades St. on the South. Since Hurricane Katrina, and the damage inflicted by the storm on parts of the neighborhood, this task has taken on increased importance and urgency as we try to rebuild.
