RIP bell hooks.
With heavy hearts, we mark the passing of bell hooks, whose work has been so fundamental to the faculty and students of Education Studies. We are so grateful for all the ways bell hooks has led us to see the world, the classroom, and each other more fully.

This morning we mourn the passing of the great Bob Moses, Civil Rights icon and educator, founder of the ground-breaking Algebra Project to promote equitable math education. We were so fortunate to be the beneficiaries of his wisdom during his 2014 visit to Allegheny, as part of our group study course (EDUC 193) focused on education as a civil right. We remain deeply grateful for and enriched by his commitments and work.
