Not all playing careers are created equal.

Tyrell Nelson (Springfield Gardens 2022) son of late Chermon & Luis, grandson to Margo & Cleveland has earned a roster spot with SUNY Plattsburgh College Baseball team .

Tyrell is a top of the class student his entire life. During his time with his grandparents made it known that school came first then baseball. This mentality was instilled at an early age for him and his twin sister Sky.

Entering college, Tyrell made the mature decision to dedicate himself to getting acclimated to the challenges college often presents first and become a better baseball player without being a member of the team during the school year.

Ty went on to play in the challenging ACBL once he came home from school for the summer to make sure he was ready for the opportunity to try out the fall of 2023.

Fast forward to today, Tyrell and the Cardinals are set to open up the 2024 season March 3rd vs SUNY Cobleskill.

We are absolutely thrilled for Tyrell and his family. The Cardinals have a great player and an even better person the next 4 years. We look forward to tracking Tyrell’s progress over his career.

John Dinkelman (MacArthur 2023) successfully earned a roster spot with Nassau Community College for the 2024 spring season.

John will be coached by arguably the best college coach within the tristate area in Head Coach Larry Minor.

A loyal purebred to the South Shore Elite, John, was a part of many tournament and league championships during his tenure.

We are extremely happy for his Mom Kathy, Dad John, and his brother Kieran who get to see John continue his playing career. We hope to see Kieran follow in his brother’s footsteps as he is part of our talented 16u team.

🚨The South Shore Elite will be building on our winter training program. 🚨
training :

Head Trainer Nick Marciano will continue to lead our players through our strength and conditioning program. In just two winters, the results have shown tremendously. Strength and conditioning is such an important component to developing players and we look forward to seeing the results of an additional day per week of strength and conditioning.

:

New this winter our South Shore Elite players will begin training at Max Effort under lead trainer & owner Brad Jackson & his staff. MaX Effort Training was started to provide quality professional instruction to baseball players of all ages. Their staff has been trained under the MXE system, which gives our athletes consistency and a clear message when working with different trainers. Their goal is to provide players with an understanding of what they are learning, giving them the opportunity to be successful in competition, not just in practice!

🚨 Last night, 13u South Shore Elite Weinert was named Brian Moore Tournament Champs 🚨

The Brian Moore Memorial Tournament was set up to honor the memory of Brian Moore of the 105th precinct in Queens NY, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty in May 2015. Brian was a graduate of Plainedge High School, who grew up, played, lived, and was a well-respected member of the Plainedge Community.

The goal of the Memorial Fund is to provide scholarships to qualifying & deserving Plainedge High School graduates, or financial assistance to the families of police, fire and military personnel, as well as other individuals in need.

The Brian Moore Tournament is one our favorite tournaments to participate in every year and we are thrilled to have won it. Great job boys! 🚨

Reid is the epitome of the quote “Hard work pays off.” He is truly a student of the game and fully dedicated to becoming the best player he could be. For many years, Joe and the Reid family would travel from their hometown (Bayside Queens) to attend every practice or game our program had scheduled. They never complained and were always willing to help the program in any way possible because they knew this day would come. We could not be happier for Joe and his family and look forward to tracking his career at .
Joe will be studying Sports Management at school and is our programs first 2023 graduate to commit.
