10 years ago I was just graduating with my 200 Hours and a yoga studio in Fords, NJ took a chance on me and started letting me sub & I just kept on teaching for 7 wonderful years
I can honestly say this is where the magic ✨️ started
-allowed me the floor time to workshop ideas - so many ideas 💡- some that landed & some that were just too crazy 🤪 but always gave me creative license to be 100% me. Thank you for your endless support 🙏 No matter how far, I will always consider Jiva my first home. 😊 also I met some pretty cool people there 😎
On June 15th Jiva will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary all day with free classes starting at 9 AM. They kindly invited me back to celebrate with them.
I WILL BE TEACHING A HOT 🔥 CLASS AT 3PM - we will be celebrating Jiva hot yoga, my 10 years as a yoga teacher, & the first class I'm teaching in Middlesex county since Aug 2021 (catch me in town while you can!! 🏃♀️)
It's Free!! Hope to see you there!!

Emmett would love to be the
I mean look at him! He's so cute & his paw-rents love beer!
Join me in this 1 week challenge of 30 minutes of exercise and leaving the animals off your plate for a week.
Huaca Pucllana
& told me they were planning on going to a temple on their last day and I asked if I could tag along because I love this kind of stuff.
The baskets in the holes are actually bodies wrapped in fetal positions. This temple is still a pretty new discovery and they are working on uncovering more information. (We really needed those headsets from Italy*)
Back in Lima
We had so much adventure up to this point and now it was time to just lean into some yoga, good food and learning about city life.
These last few days were the yin of our practice
The open mouth ahhhhhh
I only have a few more photos from Machu Picchu because I put my phone away.
After we finished our hike, we celebrated with a Cusquena beer & French fries.
Took the bus back down the hill.
Did a little shopping as we popped in and out of the refreshing rain, that waited for us to be finished hiking to start raining.
Then we took the train back to Ollantaytambo, where we had an authentic dinner at Chuncho. My favorite was the spicy stuffed pepper. It was a bit too spicy for most, so I was eating almost everyone's.
A few more from our home in the sacred valley. This place will always hold space in my heart. It was so special and the people who worked there were so warm and kind. It was rare we could see it in the light of day, but the stars at night were amazing.
I was obsessed with our home in the sacred valley. It was so beautiful with the cutest details. I wish we had more time to just spend at the house because it was just THAT BEAUTIFUL!
Our first night in Cusco at for birthday 🎂
This was our first time having the Intipalka wine, which we would become obsessed with while in Peru 🇵🇪 🥂
Our domestic flights within Peru
A short stop at the beach to dip our feet in the ocean, check out Jesus, smile as we frolicked around with the local birds - What a beautiful end to our first full day together.
Day 2: Lunahuana- White water rafting
These photos need their own post.
Blue raft--- the 2nd half of us that were hesitating after the safety speech to even get into a raft.
Big ups to .p.stevens for rowing hard, facing fears and joining me in all the laughter and screaming.
I haven't posted at all while in Peru... just shared stories that I was tagged in.
... I know... bananas...
So let's start at the very beginning. I really recommend traveling on a holiday. It was not as crazy, we had room to move around a bit on the plane ride, I got to sit next to these two beauties.
It was a pretty smooth flight ✈️
Had the most wonderful rainy day strolling through through the flowers with a good friend. 🌺
Last Halloween Aaron got 2 x full size single reeses peanut butter cups and gave them to me. We have a rule "I gave you life... you surrender your peanut butter cups! I was fair because I only took these 2, he had mini cups and other Reeses iterations, but I only like the full size cup or the holiday ones (the minis have too much chocolate to peanut butter ratio- the holiday ones have extra peanut butter- which is why they are extra good)... Anyway... I wrote on both 2 goal weight thresholds on them and shoved them in the back of the cabinet (they better still be there or my husband is in deep sh*t) & today I get to have my 1st one!!! I got close to this weight several times but never passed & the holidays set me back a bit. TODAY IS THE DAY!!
I called Aaron to the scale this morning and he celebrated with me & was trying to convince me to eat it for breakfast. I'll wait to have it later
A few more from Thiago's phone
Perfect Monday
Picked up Chris & Josh at the train station with vegan muffins and fresh pressed juice. Then we had an amazing time at Otherworld
Hanging out with some cows today at
I didn't workout last night. By the time I finished dinner, I wanted to watch RuPaul & then untucked.... and I'm like "well... I should go and do yoga now..." it was 10:30 (bc I watched it on the DVR)
It's too late for yoga.
At 12AM I was still thinking about how I wish I did my practice.
I love doing yoga at night 🌙 most of the time, I don't even start until 9PM. I love the way my candles glow & moonlight dancing in the darkness of the room. I don't feel "the magic" in the mornings like I do at night (unless I'm in front of a waterfall.. that is beyond magic)
Is anyone else a night Owl with their practice?
Also I met Aaron's friend from school's mother today with this hair. Lol 😆
Ok.. now my kundalini practice for yesterday... I'll save today's practice for later.
I think captured Emmett perfectly. Don't you?
I'm going to miss sharing my yoga room with the Christmas tree. 🎄 What is your top blessing of 2023? What are you leaving behind?
What new habits do you want to cultivate in the new year?
New favorite lunch spot!!! I'm enjoying a delicious cauliflower & chickpea taco with a fresh pressed green juice- I'm so happy right now. The food is so amazing & I love the William S. Burroughs reference. Hope nobody breaks out the Steely Dan!
Today was amazing. Had the best day kayaking with my family in Apopka, FL
Happy Halloween from Emmett
I started a 40 day Kriya today. Lately I've been feeling disconnected from my practice and in this fog of uncertainty. Since I've gotten home from Italy, I haven't been regularly practicing Yoga. I've been mixing in other forms of exercise and have kind of been all over the place mentally without focus. I'm digging deep into Kundalini for these 40 days because I feel I've shelved it for long. A little autumnal shift. Hopefully things will fall into place. Sat Nam
Last days in Italy.... and I have a new tradition at the end of our trips with we take a day or two, to unpack the trip we just had and just decompress together. Our post retreat honeymoon led us to Sicily to an awesome winery BnB Tentuta Del Gelso in Catania. Delicious wine & delicious food! 😋 We took a day trip to Aci Trezza & made our own little food tour bopping around town for small bites.
Britt- Thanks for being the best partner a gal can have, for always sharing food, laughs, drinks, and these moments I'll hold in my heart always. Safe travels
