We had a lunch meeting with KPKT in Putrajaya on the 11th of September 2023.
The representatives from KPKT were Encik Nor Azam, Setiausaha Bahagian Kawalan Kredit and Encik Ziyad from Bahagian Dasar.
Representatives from MPLMA were Mahinder Gill, Kaveldeep, Ravin, Palwinder, Ranjit, Prem and Avtar.
Various topic concerning outstanding and potential issues including digital lending were discussed.
KPKT assured us they will revert on outstanding issues including stamping/cash release.
We did mention about the rise in NGO interferences. KPKT strongly condemned the activities and have requested us to report such activities to them.
On digital lending there are 21 licenses issued thus far.
As the initial cost for digital license is high thus alienating most traditional lenders, KPKT is negotiating with a vendor to provide digital lending systems at a very reasonable cost.
Their objective is to digitalise all lenders. We await further information.
The lunch meeting has further paved the way for a successful and long-term partnership with KPKT.
