My name is Shaan Patel, I am a current freshman at Vandegrift High School here in Austin, Texas. I run a non-profit organization known as Shirts For Hunger along with my friend. Started in 2015, Our initiative was to gain support for our world's greatest crisis of hunger in both a creative and unique way. As a result, we designed shirts that raise awareness and generate funds to support our cause.
Our first project in the summer of 2015 gained great support among many. Consequently, we were able to help a few local food shelters here in the Austin area. Over the summer I will be traveling to Lusaka, Zambia in which I will be purchasing food and other necessities for the Mother Teresa Orphanage and many other locations throughout Africa. With your help and support I will be able to provide food for the many undernourished children at these orphanages. All of our profits from the shirts go directly to purchasing food and other supplies for these children.
