On last Tuesday's bible study, we touched the story of John the Baptist hearing about Jesus, baptizing the people nearby...
Although the point of the study might be about Jesus and His ministry... I can't help but think of how wonderful (if not the best) John is...
The fireplace in Uncle Morrie's house warmed the lounge I could fall asleep in a heartbeat. And that is my recipe to sleeping on the lessons: warmth + fullness + the wintry night. Earlier on, we dined on the yummy soup, wraps, toasted bread with Marmite and Avocado, and fresh fruits. As soon as the lesson began, I knew, I'm spiraling downwards to falling asleep. (Not that this news is ever new, lol).
But when I read the passage about John, I've fallen not in my sleep but rather, in the well of my own thoughts. John the Baptist is incredible in this light, how he placed himself in a joyful place as someone who mainly come to support the Messiah.
I'm just so touched, I just gotta write about this...
I better just qoute Isaiah 3:28-29, when John responded to his people,
"You yourselves know how plainly I told you, "I am not the Messiah. I am only here to prepare the way for Him. It is the bridegroom who marries the bride, and the bridegroom's friend is simply glad to stand with him and hear his vows. Therefore, I am filled with joy at his success."
Wow, if that won't touch the heartstrings...it just takes me to a place where, friends like John, don't happen too often. Those who are filled with joy at your success. I just love this story about John.🩷
We got a very cute visitor at work yesterday😍🥰😍
I asked her, "Come to beautiful Aunty for a picture?"
As I took a few snaps, I felt a warm liquid ooze in my leg...
Lol, Miss Dee peed on me❣️
Still, I think Miss Dee is cute and is certainly, the best girl for her parents❣️
10/10 cuteness, indeed!
Come againnn beautiful girl xoxo
And next minute, the patient on the other bed was calling out,
"Beautiful Aunty!" ( she needed help and figured that'll be faster than ringing the bell)
Haha 😅
The moon is back tonight...
She is half a pie and is persuasively forcing her pearly reflection shine through the gray cloud attempting to wrap her. The breeze is getting so chilly but was rather mild and soothing not so long ago.
It is very funny, my nephew is now taking fascination about the appearances of the very queer moon, wondering in his young mind, where is the other half? I chuckled so silently, hmm, he must have taken the interest from his Aunt. I do, even if very unnecessary, love taking minor credit of things that the little ones can take after their Aunt. I admire the moon a lot, for she doesn't get scared to go through the changes, stand tall and proud, in her own Queenly realm.

So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

Life is interesting when it comes to the similarity between the number of letters between these words. Most of all, life is filled with negative and positive choices. May we choose the better side of life!

The Lost Art of Winking😉
Some little things are truly surprising and heartwarming at once...
Today, just after my work began, I help sat an elderly gentleman to his chair.
As I return to the room, he gave me a very little wink, quite subtle and not the disrepectful kind.
“Oh, did you give me a wink?” He blushed and said, “yes.” I explained, “It’s just that, I haven’t seen that in ages. I think, it’s more common back in the days of old.” And so he began talking...”oh yes, the generation now, can’t wink properly and can’t even do a proper handshake!” So, he showed me how a handshake is done, nice and firm. He was so happy to show me how to shake the hands, he did it so many times (probably, to help me understand what he meant).
He told me that something’s wrong with his eyes and needs to be fixed, and he can only wink in his right eye. He touched his eye with his trembling finger. I told him, “I never noticed it, you still give a very good wink!” He was sad and said, “not really.”
A good wink and a firm handshake...it meant so much to him.
I asked, “do you have to give the wink to all?”
He replied earnestly, “no, just to someone you like!”
