Videos by Winds of Whimsy. I am a Maker at heart with a life-long love of all things creative, crafty and repurposed.

With Brave Wings She Flies * This is a hymnal angel I made 30’ish(?) years ago. She had the music pages for wings and a simple ribbon around her neck. Her hair had disintegrated and I had thought for many years she would be fun to update. Now she is #IOD style, gracing the new Felicity mould, Conservatory Labels, and older Swags mould. Air dry clay is the medium that was molded. Wings are decoupaged using Autumn Sage Creations Angelic Rose paper. All materials are available from Aunt Bea's Attic. Be brave with your creations this week!

Tried something new recently with some smaller 10” straw hats. I have painted and decorated the larger hats for hanging on the wall or door in the past but these can sit on a table or I like them sitting on a candlestick for display. This hat includes a vintage lace collar. Another new touch is to add some molded air-dry clay to the hat band. I used Debi’s DIY clay based paints, clear wax, and dark wax. #IOD #debisdesigndiarydiypaint Paint, clay and mould can be found Aunt Bea's Attic. It’s a good day to get creative!

Exploring the use of some patterned fabrics for my painted stick horses today.

So very excited and thankful for this opportunity to share a vendor space at Berlin Craft Mall with Aunt Bea's Attic. If you are in the neighborhood stop in to see our space! We are located just behind the large space with wood blanks.

This has been an easy weekend project. Upcycled some old strawberry containers with IOD ink, stamps and some florals. So easy and happy with how they turned out. Aunt Bea's Attic has the IOD supplies. #IOD #windsofwhimsy

Finally finished this one and love the results! What a transformation!!

Oldies but goodies! Favorite Fall stuffies from years past.

Autumn Blessings pumpkin. Hang on a wall or door.

Thankful I had the opportunity to create this beautiful wreath. #windsofwhimsy #wreathmaker

Fall crafting is complete! Here is a snippet of one of my projects for this season using a vintage embroidered tablecloth that has been sitting my the basement for longer than I care to admit. It had some stains but was perfect to piece out and create some simple pumpkins. I discovered this year that knobs and hardware make fun pumpkin stems. Maybe you have some vintage finds or you can visit the Hobby Lobby hardware aisle like me. More whims to come soon. Stay tuned.
