March is tomorrow! You know what that means…it’s blood drive season! In preparation for our March blood drive be sure you are drinking lots of water to have a successful and smooth donation. Join us on March 24th to save lives!

Don’t forget, our next chapter meeting is next Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:00 in the learning commons! Come for information about SLC, an activity and a chance to be awarded some community service hours!
Reminder to pay your SLC registration payment to Mrs. Wagner by this Friday. Also, check out that new discounted price thanks to some stellar planning by your NCCA HOSA Advisors.
Don’t forget, SLC down payments are due this FRIDAY! Pay your dues either to Mrs Wagner or on GoFan!
Yesterday was our last day of State Qualification Testing for SLC! If you took a test this week, congratulations! As we wait for the results, take a look at our SLC checklist for January. You can pay your hotel and registration fees for SLC on GoFan (search newton college & career academy page), Or you can pay your dues to Mrs. Wagner. The $90 Registration payment is due JANUARY 20th so if you are interested in attending SLC, turn your money in before this date! If you have any questions about SLC, Competitive Events, or Payments, please ask an advisor or a NCCA HOSA Officer!

Our officers had the privilege of listening to the leader of GSBA talk about the importance of team work in the education system. Her talk definitely inspired our officers! Thank you Ms. Baker and thank you for all that you do for Newton Counth Schools!
What a spectacular way to end the week! We just finished our first blood drive of the school year with with over 28 successful donations! Our students, faculty, and community members have taken a role in saving at least three lives each, just by donating 1 pint! Thank you to life south and their incredible team for making this event possible, thank you to our student volunteers, and all the donors that gave blood today! Stay tuned for our next blood drive in March!

If you are under 18 be sure to bring your parental consent form. All donors NEEED PHOTO ID. School ID and drivers license/ permit are all valid forms of ID. Be sure to drink at least 1 bottle of water (recommended amount: 3) before your appointment. For all who signed up, thank you for taking this crucial step in combating the blood shortage!
Find us at lunch today and tomorrow to register for our blood drive this Friday! Millions of people need blood in emergency rooms operating rooms and one day one of your loved ones might need blood too. If you can donate blood, know a friend who can or know a teacher/ administrator that you think should donate, feel free to find us at lunch to register! If you can’t make it to one of our registration sessions then you can always to click the link in our bio to sign up for our blood drive!
Today some of our officers and members teamed up with at the NCSS Literacy Festival. We enjoyed reading books and doing activities with the children. Additionally, our members visited the different festival booths and were excited to get pictures with some of the book characters!
It’s that time of year again! Holiday Love Baskets are back and we need your help!! This is your chance to help families in need AND gain community service hours. You will be able to donate cans from November 1-16. We hope that you choose to participate and be a part of something AMAZING!🦃🦃

Our members had a good time at our chapter meeting today! In honor of Red Ribbon Week, we solved mysteries about the different types of drugs and had a guest speaker tell us how to respond to an overdose using Narcan! If you missed this month’s meeting, you can come to the one next month. We hope to see you all there!🫶
Our sophomore officers and chapter President had a blast with the pre k students at the Fall Festival!🍁All of the kids enjoyed our Syringe Showdown booth! We hope we get this opportunity again next fall!!

Our officers had a great time at the CTSO Officer Luncheon yesterday! We learned dinner etiquette skills and we were given the opportunity to make new friends with officers from other student organizations. It was a really fun time and we hope we can do it again next year!🫶
Do you want volunteer hours? Volunteering for the fuzz run is a great way to get easy hours! Volunteers will be expected to hand out water to runners, aide in race registration, aide in race clean up, and setting up the running field.
