We started one of those things we do again…
You know it’s been a long time since it rained when you start freaking out and running around thinking, “are all the windows up on the trucks? What equipment got left outside? Should’ve put a tarp over the bobcat! What if the shop leaks?!?”
Grateful for this wonderful working weather this morning!
The dry weather lately means lawns aren't growing as usual, but that doesn't mean your outdoor spaces should suffer! At NonStop Landscaping, we offer a variety of services to keep your yard looking its best. From shrub pruning and mulching to creating beautiful retaining walls, patios, and walkways, we're here to help. Contact us to transform your landscape today!
We have two new hires. One - an experienced landscaper and lawn service professional, and two - a 10th grade high school student wanting to learn the trade. The landscape pictured was full of weeds and the mulch was in disarray. We sent them to “do what they think needed to be done”. This was the result…. We have a strong team and we teach each other.
Despite reel-feel temps being over 100°, we were able to construct this replacement wall yesterday. We used PaveStone blocks with Belgard Bullnose coping for caps. Drain tile installed behind the wall and #57 drainage gravel used to fill the block cores and backfill.
One of our clients loves to sit outside on the patio we made for them, but can't stand the (sometimes brutal) hot sun. She had the idea to put in something that not only would get her outside and out of the sun, but could be used for entertaining guests as well. The problem was that she didn't have a level enough spot in her yard. So, we created one for her!!! Kudos to Valley Structures for navigating the next door construction site to set this!
Finished Patio and plantings using Cambridge Ledgestone Pavers with Belgard Cobble soldier course. Emerald Greens and Tonto Crape Myrtle for a growing privacy screening.
A little before and after of a patio we are finishing up for a client. Cambridge Ledgestone 3 piece with Belgard Cobble border.
We love what we do, but when the days start getting longer and longer, it's time for more help! We are looking for a couple good workers with commercial mowing and general landscape experience to join our team! We need these folks to hit the ground running, so experience is a must!
Glad to be a partner AND PARTICIPANT of this awesome event! Come out and enjoy the experience this Saturday at the slopes!
Had a couple mice in the shop, so we hired a new employee to fix that problem. She’s so efficient and basically works for free.
We do this a lot.
Finished up this natural stone project! We used a 2-1 ratio combination of Timber Ridge and Old Mossy flagstone to get the client’s desired look. Cobbles for the sailor course on sides. A great addition to this already well landscaped property!
No one: How was work?
Me: Good! I played with rocks all day.
Our books are quite full!! We are looking for some awesome landscapers to join our team and increase capacity and production. Some experience required, but you will learn plenty with us. And maybe we can learn from you too!
Picked this mower up not too long ago. Going over it to make sure it’s ready to go. Won’t be long now…
Excited to be a Sponsor for the VA Momentum Perfect Day 50k on May 4th!
Despite rain here and there, we are making progress!
Demo day is half the fun! 🤩
We are actually going to recreate the knee-walls because the clients wanted to keep them (just shorter) because it is a 100+ year old house. Can’t wait to get this one started!
The more you look the worse it gets. We are about to fix this one up right! Comment what issues you see…
Didn’t even move an inch because we didn’t even get an inch. 😞
A little clip and snip to get shrubs slim and trim. It’s that time of year!
Burn the brush pile day. And yes, we had water and the bobcat at the ready.
Yep.
What was once an hour away is just right up the road now!

Commercial properties! We are moving on from a very large 8 year commercial landscape maintenance contract in Charlottesville. It’s just too far from home base. We would like to fill that schedule space with new commercial clients in the Harrisonburg, Bridgewater, and surrounding areas. We like our mix of commercial and residential, and can handle any maintenance needed including lawns, pruning, mulching, clean-ups, and even ice management. So let us know of any opportunities out there!
