Just wanted to mention that our annual program, mentor-mentee, is BACK! If you were in it last semester/year, hello again so happy you’re here! If you’re new, warm hugs and know that you are in a safe space.

Join us as we collectively go through the pre-pa journey together! Snacks and drinks are provided as always, and the occasional games for prizes will be there too.

You’ll have the option of sticking with your partners (or not), requesting familiar faces, and getting a chance to know us a little better.

This Tuesday, join us to create letters and cards for patients all around the world! This organization hand delivers cards to every patient, room by room, and it would be an honor to join that journey.

We’re hosting a CPR clinic!!! Our annual event gives our members who would like to be CPR certified a chance to get it, at a discounted price! You won’t find a better deal than here, and you’ll get a formal, virtual certification via email.

We are opening applications to find a new social chair! Unfortunately, our current chair, Montse, has to leave us for personal reasons (😭) and will not be rejoining us this upcoming semester.

We are looking for an outgoing, dedicated member to fill in her shoes and work alongside the rest of the board to ensure a smooth semester! This is a rare opportunity to get experience in leadership, no strings attached. You’ll get a higher chance of being on the board next year, but if you think 6 months is enough, that’s fine, too.

Hoping this email finds you productive and happy today! We just wanted to remind you that our membership deadline is coming up (t minus 2 days)!

What you’ll get by paying your dues:
- exclusive access to job opportunities and volunteer work through our active fb page
- limited spots events are RESERVED for our paying members (if our event does not have a limit, then all are welcome! We’ll clarify it in our posts)! We’ve decided this is only fair for those who paid.
- free pizza and drinks at all of our study nights (if you’re not a paying member you can still come out and leftover pizza is free for all)!
- fundraisers: some fundraisers we will honor our active members and give them free goodies/items :P
- newsletter: our newsletters will now be sent to our active members **only**

Overall, we still want our general future PA community to be united. Our general meetings are open to all (including snacks and drinks) and our workshops that have no caps are accessible to all. Examples of workshops are our CASPA workshop, Stop the Bleed workshop, blood drives, etc.

We hope you decide to stick around for the fall and spring, as we have many more events to come! Cheers to making it halfway through the semester. Keep going!!

Exciting news future PA’s 🚗🌳!!

This Saturday, we are having a mini field trip to UNT! We’ve partnered with UNT HSC to give our members an in depth guide about their PA program.

Led by 2 student ambassadors, you’ll get to explore their campus and ultimately decide if this could be a possible PA program for you. In addition, there will be a faculty member at the end to answer all of your burning questions about the application process, what they’re looking for, and how to prepare for interviews.

The guide is a 45 minute walk around campus, so comfortable shoes and casual clothing is recommended!

Start Time: 9am (arrive 10 mins early)
Location: Address: 1051 Haskell Street Fort Worth, TX 76107
Parking: We encourage you to arrive 10 minutes prior to your campus tour time. The starting point of the tour is in the Student Service Center building.
You may park in the parking lot across from the MET building in the visitor parking spaces, there is also parking around the building that is controlled by ParkMobile.
Carpooling: Meet at the Plinth @7:45a (if you are a driver, a free drink at the next meeting and 1 membership point will be awarded for your kind service!

After the tour, an HSC recruiter will give us a presentation on all of their programs.
