Here’s a fun collaboration between me and my friend for and their RevCauses fundraiser show at The Metro in Chicago earlier this week. This was my first time collaborating completely 50/50 with another artist on a poster and it was a blast. John and I both came up with a similar concept in our individual brainstorming sessions so that became the direction for the piece. The entire edition is on rainbow foil, which we also printed together at my studio. Many thanks to the Revivalists’ team for bringing us on board and making it happen!
Can’t believe I’ve been lucky enough to call her my wife for 9 years. Happy anniversary love you!

Happy Wednesday! I’ve got some more posters to share soon. Until then, here are some colors and shapes for your eyeholes. ✌️
A year ago I finished printing my first poster. I’ve been producing gig posters since 2016, but this was the first one I printed myself. There was a heatwave in LA at the time and it was 110 degrees in my garage. I made big mistakes at every step of the process. I printed 3 of 4 colors directly on my table, ordered the wrong paper, didn’t register my screens even remotely accurately… etc, etc. Despite all that, it still felt like a huge win. I keep this misprint pinned to the wall behind my press to remind myself how far I’ve come in my first year. Looking forward to continuing to refine my skills in year 2 of this wild journey. Check my IG story in a few for an epic test print fail from this first poster too…

Hump day color study… 🎨
Testprint Tuesday! This two color print for earlier this year made for some interesting test prints when the artwork was printed upside on top of itself. Always love when something simple like this creates cool results. Before anybody asks… no, they are not for sale!
Last night hosted the 10 Year Concert at the and I was commissioned to make this poster commemorating the event! It was a really fun process working with the Discord and Hollywood Bowl teams, and to make the event even more special in my own household… my wife was hired to sing in the choir that shared stage with the orchestra last night! (Her first time singing at the Bowl!) These were printed offset and given away for free at the event while they lasted.
Here’s another venue commission piece for the Broncos Stadium who hosted and last night. 4 color on Cougar Natural, beautifully printed by
New venue commission poster for in Denver last weekend. Many thanks to the folks at Empower Field at Mile High for having me on board for this one! These were 4 color on black paper printed by my friend … I was in jail for the last after the app falsely accused me of using bots to get more likes and followers. Nice to be back sharing work again… lots more to come this summer!
When I started working on this poster for in 2019 I didn’t know much about her aside from the couple of songs I’d been hearing on the radio and her reputation for having a body-positive/self-positive message. I was reading bios and articles online when I came across an album review from Magazine. Overall, it was NOT a very positive review of her record, but the very last line of the review sparked an idea that lead to the microphone/butterfly concept. This is a piece I often use if I’m talking to design students because I think it’s a good example of simple conceptual design and never knowing when or where inspiration may strike!
What a find at the Rose Bowl Flea Market! An original poster from the very first !! Couldn’t pass this one up. Can’t wait to hang it in my studio…
New tour poster for who are kicking off their June tour tonight in Oregon! The main edition is on “Fuze Green” stock with a gold foil variant. Grab a print if you’re headed to a show! I’ll have a small edition of APs available after the tour concludes…
Here’s a quick look at the creative process for my recent poster. I usually start with really sloppy thumbnail sketches on graph paper to develop a bunch of ideas. Then I choose 3-4 concepts to refine as digital sketches on my iPad and use those to present to the client. Once a concept is approved I do further research and develop the final art. For this one I knew I wanted to stay away from actual lobsters but do something very regional. I was thinking about lobster restaurants, but eventually that led me to the idea of using the fishing buoys as a way to spell out the band name. In my research I learned that each fisherman in a particular region has their own custom design that they hand paint on all of their buoys. They are usually brightly colored so they’re easily identifiable in the water. As someone who has lived 39/40 years in landlocked states (and 0 years in the northeast), this was a fun revelation and ended being the winning idea. Many thanks to Sam and UM for another fun project… I will have a small edition of artist copies available tomorrow!
