Don’t look at my surgical tape 🥲

Being labeled as “Australia’s Worst Mum” because of fake news has been quite a journey this week. IYKYK.

I’ve been going through a lot of emotions wondering if I should share what’s happened behind the scenes, beating myself up and blaming others and I do feel I need to say something because now stories are leaking world wide and I know I am not a bad mum and I do not deserve that title.

I wanted to blame Smallzy for this title… I mean he did insinuate I was a bad mum by jumping on the radio and announcing this on his morning show but it’s not entirely his fault. His team probably saw all the Daily Mail articles.

I then started to blame Daily Mail for running this story but it’s actually not entirely their fault either. They were emailed an unauthorised and misleading “press release”, without my knowledge and ran the story believing I had approved the information and that the information was factually correct.

Now I could easily stoop down to this persons level and tell you exactly who they are and what they’ve done but I won’t because I’m just not that type of person.

But I will say this, I’ve been very lucky since entering this industry to only be surrounded by beautiful, kind and honest people. This however is a cruel reminder that not everyone is like this and some people only have their best interests at heart. That attitude though will only get you so far. We should be lifting each other up not tearing each other down.
