ENERGY, ELECTRICITY & SUSTAINABILITY
What: Summer Program for Detroit Public School Students
Where: Ronald Brown Academy
● 11530 East Outer Drive Detroit, MI 48224
When: June 24th through July 26th
● Classes are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
● Class times are 11:30 AM - 4:00 PM
○ 1 group of 15 students from 11;30 -1:30
○ 1 groups of 15 students(different) from 2:00-4:00
● Multiple breaks available and snack/refreshment times
● July 4th and July 5th are off for holiday
Responsibilities: Lead and Manage the students for each class day
● Punctual and attend every class day
● Keep students busy/active the best you can
● Create, develop and lead lessons, activities, projects
● Be positive, have fun!
● Attend a District-led 4-day training June 17-20; you will be paid to attend
Examples on How to Run/lead Program:
● Videos, group games
● Traditional instruction and lessons
● Activities and projects
● Whatever you want that is fun and keeps students engaged!
What you Get & Compensation
● $25 per hour, with paid prep time
○ 27.5 total hours per week
■ 4.5 hours of instruction per class @ 5 classes per week = 22.5 per week
■ 1 hour of prep for each day @ 5 days = 5 hours per week
● Transportation resource support provided (specific to each individual, will discuss)
● All Snacks and refreshments are provided
● All your needed/requested class/day material and resources will be provided
