A family farm where guava, jasmine, and banyan trees decorate the grounds and tinge the air with their beautiful fragrances. It’s a place where ponies, pigs, chickens, and a rag-tag team of adorable pups roam about. It’s also a working horse farm, and the place where every last Blue Stallion Bath, Beauty & Home products are dreamed up.

My style as you can see is influenced by living on Blue Stallion Farm and sharing the beauty of these surroundings is something I always wanted to do. So I created the brand and worked on my book. The brand aspiresto be a chic version of products you would find in a “country store” . My creativity is derived from living on the farm. The scents that bloom here, the critters, farm animals and nature in itself. It is a place that brings me so much peace and tranquility amidst the chaos of life in general.
Our products are carefully designed with the utmost care in natural ingredients for our bath and body collections and now for your table, beautiful hand sketched dinnerware, tea sets and textiles. My family and I are humbly excited to share this with all of you. And we hope you will love it just as much as we do. Our table top designs will be out May of this year. Stay tuned! More to come

Today Magic Mike came to visit by the wood shop. This is a peacock that flew into our farm and decided to call it home. For months he hung around the front area by the geese then he moved to the chicken coop and throughout all this time not once did I see him open up his feathers until last week! Now he is found courting the chickens every single day. Strutting his feathers all beautiful dancing around for their attention. He is beautiful and magical, he is Magic Mike.

The cottage on the farm is serene. Here I used warm tones, natural sculptural elements. The layering process is my favorite. I start with a clean canvas then the base pieces. Sofa, chairs tables. Nothing id matchy. Always unique pieces that add what I call layers. Always with different textures; whether it be stone, linen, wood, velvet, paper the beauty is in the layering. The cottage has a clean and minimalist vibe with vintage pieces and some modern designs to give this cottage new and updated style and of course my antique rugs from my friend Nikki .co always add to the mood. So in the end you walk in and it’s all about the feeling. Not just a visual.

Hearty lentil soup for chilly days.

Lentil Soup
2 Tablespoons olive oil
½ medium onion chopped small
1 garlic clove minced
1 ½ cups of chopped celery (about 2 stick)
2/3 cup diced carrots
½ lb. brown lentils (washed and drained)
6 cups of chicken consommé (you can make with chicken bouillon)
½ cup chopped parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat the olive oil and a pot and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent
Add the celery and carrots and cook for about 10 minutes stirring with wooden spoon to extract flavors
Lower the heat.
Add the lentils and the 6 cups of chicken broth and parsley
Bring to a boil and then lower the heat. Cook for about 30 minutes in low heat.
Season salt and pepper to taste
This makes about six servings. Seve in a small bowl or over rice
