I took the first two pictures during what ended up being my final Sitka Spruce harvest, for the foreseeable future. 🥺 It was a rainy, windy day with Kodiak’s spring spirit in full force. The days where you remind yourself that this is what brings the “Emerald Isle” green goddess views in the summertime.

This is such a magical place, and I am feeling overwhelmingly grateful for the opportunity to learn from this land, and from so many of the amazing people here.

Emerald Isle Essentials will be taking a pause. We have made the incredibly difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved island home of the last 15 years and relocate down to the lower 48 & closer to family, this July.

Phew.. 🥺 With this major life transition for our family, there are a lot of knowns and unknowns regarding EIE.

What we know:

🌿 This April 19th and 20th will be our last live show in Kodiak - the Spring Kodiak Women’s Show. Please come see us if you can!! We’d love to see you.

🌿 Our online shop will remain open through June 1st, 2024. We have fully restocked all products possible, and hope that you’ll stock up! You’ll find free local pick-up and a variety of shipping options at check out, with free shipping over $80.

✨🍋 View from inside 🍋✨ It’s that time of year again! We were extra fortunate this year to be able to go harvest Meyer Lemons for one of our favorite seasonal distillations, and we also got to harvest some oranges and grapefruits (swipe➡️) for a brand new co-distillation hydrosol! 💛

For love of Vanilla Beans 💛

This one is for my Mama. She’s been making homemade Vanilla extract as long as I can remember. She always had a tin of vanilla lip balm in the kitchen. If I ever forget the vanilla in her cookie recipe, it’s immediately obvious the dough is missing something. This balm turned out better than I could’ve hoped.

Our organic vanilla bean infused jojoba is just lovely, and the balm has the most soft, soothing feel. A perfect pocket companion. ✨
