Theme of 2020 Fall : “Designing IoT Interfaces in the Age of Big Data and Sensor Technologies”
Instructor : Dr. Heejung Kwon
Academic Entity : School of Communications, Yonsei University
Interface design is a field of designing communication procedures, methods, and more importantly the practical artefacts of digital products that would enable the interaction between users, and digital products to meet users’ goals, and to deliver user satisfactions. The field is changing and growing by the factors such as expansion of use contexts, the diversification of product and service lines, and the drastic growth of network technologies. Especially the development of digital products is speeding up by the recent IoT technologies and applications that require the new interfaces, and interactions for NUI, multi-devices, and AR/VR displays. The class will address today, and tomorrow of digital interfaces in the changes of user requirements, business environments, and technological evolvement from the perspective of communication design.
