I wanted to share an updated picture of this Brazilian Raintree purchase from us in 2021. It went to live at a clients home in Massachusetts.
This tree now grows indoors with a really nice set up to support indoor growth.
It It is obviously a pretty happy tree.

Raintrees do prefer to be grown outdoors in warm climates. That’s where they thrive. Depending on your experience with growing plants indoors it is possible to have them grow successfully.

I’m just so happy to see how well it’s doing .

Japanese black pine 🖤 'Pinus thunbergii' in training since 1955. Most black pine bonsai are created from mature collected material. This bonsai is unusual because it has been in training since it sprouted from a seed.

Stewartia, Beech, Boxwood 💚🍂 'Stewartia', 'Monadelpha', 'Fagus crenata', 'Buxus microphylla'. In training since 2001.

3 different types of trees grow together in this type of bonsai called saikei. It is a "living landscape" designed by Japanese artist Kawamoto, who introduced this style after the WWII.

Gift of Toshio Kawamoto 2001.

Another azalea done! Mostly cutting back and a some thinning. I’d say a bit more classic design than the other azalea I posted. 😝

Many have asked why I have my website on the photo. It turns out there are people taking my photos and presenting them as their own tree or work. Scoundrels! 🙄
