Le Petite Ami
Just an average project engineer sharing my love of geeky nerdom through the art of crochet! That first pattern was like taking a leap with closed eyes.
When I first began crocheting, I never could have imagined coming this far. I struggled a lot with learning the basics, and I actually quit out of frustration for quite some time. I picked it up again a year later after finding a book with Halloween amigurumi patterns, and I never looked back! At first I merely followed the patterns in the book, adding my own detailing to reflect characters from v
And here we are. The last of my backlog. How nice that is to say! I just wrapped this Zuko up a few days ago. How's that for a timely manner? His hair and outfit weren't too crazy. The most time consuming part of this one was planning his scar, and it turned out pretty well if I do say so myself 😁
Last up of the 4 part order is an adorable Mokona from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle! And allow me to say it again: adorable. She turned out SUPER cute, and also allows me to say that I've crocheted all of the main characters of Tsubasa (I made Fai a while back) Look at that cute lil face~
Part 3 of the 4 part order is Kurogane, again from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. All things considered, he was pretty simple and very cute. The most complicated part was by far the dragon sword!
Part 2 of the 4 item order is Sakura from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle! This is the second time I've made her and I took the opportunity to improve the skirt design and how I styled her hair
Now we do a bit of a time jump to April 2021! Which would ordinarily be considered quite some time ago (given that it's almost a year later and all that) but I'm gonna take it as a win since we're out of 2020. First up in a 4 part order is Gaara from Naruto! Lots of fun stuff with this guy, but I particularly love how the sand gourd turned out, down to the little labels
We finally escaped November!... and move into December 2020... with Vanitas! A villainous bad boy from several of the Kingdom Hearts games. The belts, guys. Just all the belts
Still, shockingly, in the November 2020 commissions (listen they make good Christmas gifts okay). This here is another dnd character! And my favorite part is probably an easy guess: the hair. It took so much time and planning for both the hair itself and the adjacent flower colors but it turned out so well ❤️
Next up! A space bean! Another commission from November 2020, this is a lovely lil imposter with an army helmet from the video game Among Us
Day 2 of "it really took you this long to post?" is another custom commission. Because I apparently like throwing shade at myself, this one is from November 2020 😅 This one was was a character from the video game Guild Wars 2. The most memorable part was crocheting the leaves that make up the hair rather than following the typical hair process for these little guys
I have done a TERRIBLE job of posting new creations for the past few months. So! Picking up from a September 2020 commission (good god that's old) here's a custom dungeons and dragons character. I was exceptionally happy with how the hair turned out 😤 Keep an eye out over the next few days as I continue posting my backlog bit by by!
