Camp Completed!!

Our Transfer tuition, sports and well-being camp concluded yesterday after a busy 3 days. The children made great friendships, developed their learning within Numeracy and Literacy and worked hard during our physical activity sessions.

Thank you to all parents and children who made this a fun filled summer of camps!

Transfer Test Preparation and Well-Being Camp!!! Like and Share to Spread The Word!!

After our first successful camp, we are very happy to announce that we will be hosting a second camp from Monday 19th August until Wednesday 21st August in St.Ronan’s Primary School, Newry.

This camp is for children going into P6 & P7, preparing for P7 and the GL transfer tests. We will focus on key areas within Literacy and Numeracy to further strengthen and enhance your child’s knowledge and skills, whilst building on their well-being through sports and games.

The camp gives the children an idea of having a good balance between learning and an active healthy lifestyle.

Children will be provided with excellent resources which can be used at home and when school restarts.

Day 1 Completed at St Ronan’s Camp!

Over 60 children took part in today’s camp with various team sports like; Ultimate Dodgeball, Rounders, Olympic Handball and Soccer followed by Dance and Athletics.

Lots of smiles, laughs and TEAMWORK throughout the day!

The Nursery Children definitely were the Dance Off Champions!!!

Well done to all involved today!

After the success of our Multi-Sport camp in Burren, our attention now turns to Camp 2 in St.Ronan’s Primary School. With over 50 children registered we have limited places available. Please email to reserve a place. This camp is one of a kind in the area, with multiple sport participation, your child will have fun and learn in a child friendly environment.

Kevin McKernan Camps are introducing a fun summer school camp to support children preparing for P7 and getting ready to take their transfer test but also a focus on fun, sports, mental health and well-being.



We are 2 fully qualified teachers with a wealth of experience, specialising in transfer tests. We have developed a comprehensive programme covering all aspects of Literacy and Numeracy. We will reinforce topics and skills, ensuring your child has a strengthened understanding of what they are learning.



We have two camps running this summer, the first taking place on 8th and 9th of July and the second taking place on 19th, 20th and 21st August in St Ronan’s PS. Don’t miss out on this wonderful chance to support your child’s education and ensure they remain focussed building on their previous years work

Final Day of Summer Camp!

What an excellent ending we had to our summer camp today with the visit it Rìan O’Neill from Armagh.

The children completed a GAA skills challenge this morning in teams and completed the day with an All Ireland Tournament and some questions for Rìan.

A perfect way to finish off a brilliant week in Burren.

Thanks to all the children for their participation, positivity and overall enjoyment of the camp this week. Thank you also to the parents who made sure children attended on time and were collected each day. Well done to all involved and especially the coaches who came along to help out and help make things run smoothly.

GAA Skills Day with Special Guest Attending!

Tomorrow we will complete our Multi-Sport week with a GAA Skills Day.

We are very lucky to be able to welcome Armagh’s Rìan O’Neill to the camp to take the kids for some GAA skills practice followed by question and answer time!

If your child hasn’t attended all this week they are still able to attend for the daily rate of £8 and have the chance to meet Rìan and learn some skills!

Summer Multi-Sport Camp Day 2!

Well done to all the children this morning in taking part despite the dull weather to start the day!

Today the children took part in a multi-sport skills challenge in teams with 13 different stations including various activities like: hurling, football crossbar challenge, hurdles, target games, balance challenges, Gaelic football point scoring and many more!

These activities encouraged children to adapt different approaches to succeeding in familiar challenges with a twist while conquering new sports or activities. They built team morale over the 3 hours showing many examples of positive team work, support, encouragement and helping others.

Well done to all and see you in the morning for Day 3 at 10am.

What a start to our multi-sports week!!!

Today we had a turn out of 28 in our nursery group and 64 in the upper - primary school group. The children were playing a variety of sports, including; rounders, gaelic, soccer, athletics, tag rugby and Olympic handball!

The children got to work on skills such as; teamwork, problem solving and lots of engaging physical activity while having fun with friends! Anyone who didn’t attend this morning, there are still available places to attend any day this week for our daily rate of £8!
