Day 4- Refresh/Activate Ancestor Altar

How do you refresh?
What activates you?

Imagine doing something you enjoy in the name of an enslaved Ancestor. Take a nap in a spiritual bath of herbs, flowers, and salts. Go on a self-date to a sculpture garden. Hug a tree.

My personal fave means of refreshment/activation is twerking. Something about the freedom of my body jiggling.

Deep belly laughter is also a really easy way to activate + refresh My Altar.

Feeling very blessed to have an opportunity to show "It Is What It Is" at Hosmer Library.

Hosmer Library has been a refuge to me in the hardest times. As an unhoused individual in 2018, it was a place to keep cool in the sweltering heat of summer, have meetings with case management, to sit and rest my body after traveling for essentials.

Five years later, I'm here in ways that feel a lot less bitter. It feels amazing to display a couple spells I made while in meetings for community care services.

"It is what it is": a common turn of phrase for when stuff is happening all over the place and the only solution is through
