Blackstone Elementary School has been selected by the Store Leadership Team at Stop & Shop for their September Community Bag Program.
This means that during the month of September $1 from every $2.50 reusable Community Bag sold at Stop & Shop, 1100 Massachusetts Avenue, Dorchester MA will go to support children's education at the Blackstone.

FoBS hosts pancake breakfasts during the weeks of MCAS testing at the Blackstone. Sweet smells fill the halls of school as students arrive on test days this March, April, and May.

About Friends of Blackstone School
Friends of Blackstone School, Inc. (“Friends”) was formed by current school volunteers and neighbors to support the school by raising funds and engaging the South End community. Impressed by the sense of excitement and achievement within the school, the Friends believe that urban public schools deserve broad community support. We believe that the surrounding community can benefit as much as the students by neighbors getting involved in a meaningful way close to home.
Friends was incorporated during the summer of 2012 and secured IRS tax-exempt status by the end of the summer. We have no paid staff and have benefited from the tremendous generosity of individuals and local organizations in getting started.
Amigos de Blackstone School, Inc. ("Amigos") fue formado por voluntarios y vecinos de la escuela actual para apoyar a la escuela mediante la recaudación de fondos y la participación de la comunidad de South End. Impresionados por la sensación de emoción y logros dentro de la escuela, los Amigos creen que las escuelas públicas urbanas merecen un amplio apoyo de la comunidad. Creemos que la comunidad circundante se puede beneficiar tanto como los estudiantes de los vecinos al involucrarse de una manera significativa cerca de casa.
