Professor Sang-Seok Yoon, Assistant Professor at the Department of Asian and Slavic Languages and Literatures at University of Iowa, is one of the authors of the Integrated Korean Textbook series, which stands as the most widely used Korean textbook in the U.S.

This travel grant has been created to ensure a wide range of undergraduate students have the opportunity to study and live in South Korea. Recipients of this grant will be awarded:
* Travel grant of up to $2,500 USD awarded directly to the student
* Upon returning to the U.S., an opportunity to participate in a panel discussion offered by the Society with other grantees to share insights on the value of studying abroad in the Republic of Korea
