What is your favorite spices?
I love turmeric and ginger in fresh green juice in the morning! YUMMMMMM!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What do you use to wash your produce before you eat it?
Do you use just water and rub the excess dirt off with a scrub brush and water? Or do you use a produce cleaning spray and soak your produce before scrubbing any excess dirt away?
I personally use water and white vinegar for most things and a damp paper towel for mushrooms.
If you've never tried this give it a go, cut plum in half remove the pit and drizzle with a little honey and then grill until the plum softens and develops a caramelized crust. Enjoy with your favorite non-dairy ice cream!
It also works great with peaches! Enjoy!
I'm completely OBSESSED with butter lettuce mixed with bitter greens like arugula lately... SO SO SO GOOD!
What about you?
Have you thought about ditching your microwave but aren't sure what to use as a replacement? It can be challenging to let go of the convenience of your microwave -- but some alternatives will be relatively quick, as well.
The toaster oven is a popular microwave alternative, and it takes up just about as much space or less. It gives your food a more crisp finish, too, which I personally love.
Your air fryer can be another fabulous way to reheat your food and still achieve a crispy, cooked feel.
Lastly, steamers can help you achieve this as well. You can use these to steam your veggies throughout the week, as well as reheating your leftovers.
What's your preferred way to reheat food in your kitchen?
Pro Tips: grab a smaller plate or a bowl to help control the portion size and still feel really great about fueling how you're your body.
Did you know you can freeze ripe avocados?
Before you toss those avocados, try freezing them.
Slice your ripe avocado and toss the pit. Scoop avocado into a Ziplock bag, and sprinkle in some lemon juice. Squeeze the air out of your Ziplock bag before closing. Seal it well and store it in the freezer.
We all likely know this but drink more water and less of everything else. Your body will that you.
We all have a handful of veggies we've never tried -- either because they were demonized in our younger years (hello, peas!) or they're just not the typical veggies that make it in the grocery cart week after week.
What is one veggie you have never tried before?
Mine is rutabaga.
A fun way to check these off your list is to resolve to try one new veggie each month. You could have a handful of new produce items you love waiting for you to discover throughout this challenge. This helps to spice up your weekly menu to keep from cooking the same meals repeatedly and helps keep your produce intake up. Sounds like a win-win, in my book.
Do something simple today that makes you feel amazing! Have a beautiful day!
When was the last time you decided when and how much to eat based on your hunger cues alone?
Of course, we need some structure in our day, so having a set time for meals helps us have that structure. But along the way, we've learned how to ignore our hunger cues and eat when we are "supposed" to eat instead. I challenge you to be mindful of this for the week. Take stock of when you actually feel hunger. When you do eat, eat slowly so you can notice when you aren't hungry any longer. You'll learn to gauge your hunger cues when you are mindful of listening, and this can be a game-changer.

IDK about you BUT summer produce is my jam!!!

Ever feel like you have to choose between working out or watching that favorite show of yours?
Try meshing the two together and making the most of your time.
That's not to say relaxing isn't good for you - it absolutely is!
I want you to feel zero guilt for kicking back on the couch to relax and watch a movie. Those days when your schedule is full, and you have to choose between catching up on your favorite show or getting that workout in, do both.
Spread out on the floor and stretch, do some yoga, reps of sit-ups or push-ups -- make the workout your own. Even if you do these during commercial breaks, you can still relax during the show. Finding creative ways to infuse your workouts into your busy schedule will help keep you on track.
Doing something small to make a difference for someone each day adds up to a life full of joy and abundance.
The little things add up to make a huge impact over time! be kind!

Have you been thinking you're ready to start ditching that soda habit? There are so many health benefits to ditching soda, and with a slew of alternatives that can assist your efforts -- it's worth it to give it a try and find what works for you.
Sparkling water is a fantastic alternative. You may have to try a few different brands to find one you like, but don't give up quite yet.
A few of my favorite brands with flavors that I love include:
• Waterloo
• Bubly
• Aha
These all have flavors that are more than just the hint of flavor you get with some other brands. They're so refreshing, especially for this warm weather coming up.
What's your favorite flavor of sparkling water?
In our society today insulin resistance is the worst it has ever been in history. It is preventable with simply more whole food. We can do it together! 🐰🥕
Do you get caught up in the idea of recipes? That's one interesting thing I see with my clients. When you can zoom out a bit from the idea of recipes and think of your meals as specific food groups paired together, it's more of a simple idea.
Instead of letting recipes overwhelm you, think of your meals as a pairing of different groups. And try to make it as colorful as possible!
For example -- and this is only an example, please tailor it to your unique needs -- I like to fill half of my plate with veggies. This could be a salad, roasted veggies, or a mixture of the two. The variation doesn't matter. It only matters to me that at least half of my plate is filled with veggies. I then continue building my meal from there.
Does that simplify things for you a bit?
