I am a licensed esthetician, helping women not only look good, but also feel good about themselves.

Heather is a professionally licensed and certified clinical esthetician. She graduated from Cinta Aveda Institute in San Francisco where she learned and practiced skincare, waxing (she was taught by one of the best brow artist in San Francisco!), and makeup. While she was at Cinta Aveda, Heather was also part of the Creative Team as a make-up artist, where she attended fashion shows, private photo

⁣⠀

Some of my clients have mentioned that WFH has been a challenge for their skin. Myself included! Since my routine is out of wack, I don’t start my skincare regimen until much later than usual. Luckily, I’m not wearing any make up at this time, but still!⠀

So besides cleansing your skin as soon as you wake up, my tip is to cleanse your skin before dinner! I always make sure to wash my face before dinner. Just in case I fall asleep, I want to make sure I at least take care of my skin (sorry teeth—I’ll brush yaaa when I wake up randomly around 2 am). I also love using my to cleanse, because it does so many things in one! It helps cleanse the skin, removed make up to product build up, while stimulating your skin and gently exfoliating your skin. Which allows better product pe*******on and a more youthful glow! ⠀

Another thing that I like to do is, apply a mask on my face as I work on some things. My favorite is a leave on mask like Image Vital C Hydrating Enzyme Masque. It not only hydrates my skin, but also helps gently exfoliates! That’s how I squeeze in a mini facial as I work or while watching 90 Days Fiancé. ⠀

How are you treating your skin during this time? Also what is your favorite cleanser and mask at the moment?

⁣Did you know — taking bathes can actually help destress, relax your muscles, elevate your mood, help you sleep better, AND improve your immune system! ⠀

All you need is epsom salts and some essential oils! I’ll list some of my favorite single essential oils that I like to add to my baths down below, but if you want to be a mixologist and blend a few essentials together — mix away! ⠀

✨ Eucalyptus - is anti-inflammatory for the lungs. It also helps supports upper respiratory help and breaks up congestion. Perfect for fighting infection and extremely helpful for colds or flus! ⠀
✨ Lemon - Helps detox the body by stimulating cellular waste out of the body. ⠀
✨ Lavender - Not only relaxes the mind and body, but can help eliminate harmful bacteria. Also if your skin has been feeling dry and irritated, lavender helps cleanse, soothe, and heal minor skin irritations.⠀

But if you are tub-less 🛀 and brave enough. Bursts of cold water or cold showers can help improve your immune system too! 🚿 ⠀

During this time of isolation and WFH, make sure you schedule breaks and loads of self-care. This might be harder for some, but it is very important to keep mind and body healthy!⠀

So whether that’s giving yourself a 10 minute break, stretching, going on a walk, reading a book, listening to your favorite playlist, online shopping (even if it’s just adding things to cart), journaling, or simply taking a bath. Please take care of yourself! 💖⠀

I mean at least I’m practicing social distancing, right? It’s literally just me, myself, and my FBI agent watching me cry on yet another marathon. 😅 On a more serious note, please be safe and wash those hands! Pretty much as long as the old Grey’s Anatomy theme song, which is about 24 seconds long.
