Anamika the pioneer of “Charumika” the brand, completed her primary education from the prestigious Holy Child School, majored in English from the Delhi University and attained a Fashion Designing Degree from South Delhi Polytechnic. She instigated her career with a two year fruitful and a successful stint at Delhi Export house and then moved to New Zealand where she was employed with an off shore
marque for some time, which afforded her a wide exposure to the mechanics of creating and managing a brand. On her return from New Zealand, Anamika took a short break for walking down the aisle, post which she along with her child hood friend, who incidentally was her namesake, took a plunge to achieve a long yearned aspiration and started her eponymous label ‘Charumika’. The brand specializes in Indo Western and Western outfits and is synonymous with quality and craftsmanship at affordable prices. Charumika was conceived and had a beginning with a humble workforce which has now blossomed and transformed into a company with an enviable number of employees including a proficient marketing team which has substantially enhanced the brand building process as well as the presence in the relevant factions of the industry. During the course of their journey in establishing the brand they showcased their premium products at exhibitions and events covering the length and breadth of the country ranging from Delhi, Indore, Jabalpur, Chennai and Mumbai, prominent of which are the Lavanya Pret Show, Arti Bagdy Fashion Collezione (ABFC) - the most sought after fashion exhibition of Chennai, Independent-Jabalpur and various art galleries in Mumbai. Both friends started this journey together but on account of unprecedented reasons, they parted ways and Anamika carried on the legacy and the good work and has endeavoured to build a brand which is a synthesis of design, materials, craftsmanship and a very strong social perspective.
