Linda Quirk Ceramics
Follow my journey into creating beautiful and functional ceramics with a hint of Manx here and there.
I dropped this batch of ⭐️ decorations off at Island Inspirations at the weekend and they’re flying off the shelves. It’s lovely to know people are posting them to different places for Christmas- some as far as New Zealand! One more load of Christmas trees 🌲 coming out of the kiln and then that’s it!
Lovely little shift in Island Inspirations yesterday. It was fab to finally get round to restocking and it’s always a nice feeling selling your own work too! Plus a catch up with lots of visitors.
I’ve stocked up with Christmas decorations but have some more to make this week for my last market - Sunday 10th in old M&Co. Hope to see you there 😊
Here’s some finished Christmas decs- just need to get lots more finished…
Finally feel like I’m getting organised for the Manx Potters’ Fair at Villa Marina Arcade on 4th November, 11-3pm. I was on duty at Island Inspirations today and in between seeing lots of lovely customers I was able to underglaze some Christmas decs. Transparent coat tonight and then firing over the weekend!
I’m on duty in Island Inspirations today and there have been some lovely visitors in sheltering from the rain. I’ve been adding these beauties to my self and having a little shuffle round. Pop in and say hi if your passing 🙂 👋
It’s my first shift back in Island Inspirations tomorrow (after breaking myself) and I’ll be adding some much needed stock to my shelves. I’ve been busy playing with more clay which is now drying. Here’s a little look at what I’ve been up to:
Love a good before and after
I’ve been quite spoiled recently with a trip to Gladstone Pottery Museum where they make Throw Down. To add to things to tick off I met KBJ yesterday after his q&a session at Southport Flower Show. And yes, he did cry…
Haven’t posted for a while due to little road trip away to visit the amazing Gladstone Pottery Museum in Stoke on Trent. So worth the hobble round ❤️
A little bit more work ion what I started yesterday. Just used a few different tools to make patterns. Looking forward to glazing this one but drying first.
Cannot believe it’s 1st August today 🤷♀️
I’ve decided I’m going to try and post what I’m making as often as I can (will try every day!) so keep an eye out for photos of items in progress. Here’s some little trinket dishes I’ve started today. Drying a bit overnight and then tidying up tomorrow and maybe adding some lettering/more decoration:
Finally getting my act together and creating a dedicated page for my ceramic creations. Here’s a view of my makes form the past. Now to the future!
