Mangakahia Gardening Club

Mangakahia Garden Club celebrated 70 years in existence at the Parakao Hall, where the first meeting was held. We enjoyed dressing up, a floral art talk by Rosie Speedyand fine food and company.
Our next meeting is 8 August 20.30am at the Mangakahia Spirts Complex. All welcome.

There will be a planning meeting at the Cafe in Maungatapere this Thursday at 9.30 for those who are interested. We will be planning for our 70th birthday and the rest of the year.

Thank you to the entrants and all the wonderful visitors we had to the dahlia show yesterday. Thanks to our members who helped set up and pack down. It was a fantastic day.

EDIT.. People's Chioce was Alison Kane with her amazing bouquet.

What a great day out. The beautiful orange rose from Glenys's Garden was called Climbing Sundancer. Although she says hers doesn't climb.
