Art of Sun and Moon

By day, the light of the sun provides a great and harnessable energy. The only tool I use to capture this energy is an old magnifying glass that I inherited from my father. Being an artist himself, he would use this same tool to help him see as he did the intricate crosshatching of his illustrations. Now I use the magnifying glass to concentrate solar light into what is essentially a laser beam. With this naturally abundant power, along with a steady hand and patience, I create art of my own.

By night, the mysterious void and the touch of the moonlight upon the earth lend to us a different sort of power. At least for me, the night is a time of reflection and imagination: a time to think of those surreal landscapes within. Therefore it is by the light of the moon that I work on my graphic novel. It is about a world shrouded in darkness but always left with a reminder- that reflected in the moon is the promise of a new dawn.
