I ordered this lovely embroidered tulle a while ago and didn't realize until I received it that it wasn't quite long enough for my usual Regency gown length. It sat in my stash a while, and then I thought... there is no rule that says a border hem has to reach all the way to the bottom, is there? So I went ahead and used it anyway, and I quite like the layered look it gives. Hooray for happy accidents!

Here's my latest dress, one of my Classic dress designs perfect for Spring or Summer! I love this pink petal floral, it's so sweet! Once I had made as many dresses as I could from this fabric, I still had a little left. I hate to waste lovely fabrics so I often use up small leftovers by making travel tissue holders with them! I love pairing them with fun fabrics for a little surprise pop of color inside.

I have a confession...I have not caught up on the new Bridgerton season yet! I have been too busy creating, but now that I can finally share my latest I should be able to get to it soon! I'm excited! Have your watched it? What did you think?

Here is my latest Regency dress to celebrate the new season release! This one is so delicate, with a floral embroidered tulle overlay on top of the palest pink organza, and sheer tulle puff sleeves.

I also created a new headpiece, a floral halo crown inspired by the various pink and gold in the embroidered floral border. I love the outrageous hair and headpieces you often find in Regency fashion plates, and I wanted some kind of show stopper headpiece to accompany this lovely dress. I love how it came out, and plan to make more versions of this halo flower crown!

Hey y'all! It's me, Stephanie, the sewist behind the screen and today is my birthday! I thought it would be fun to give a little background about my business and how I got from where I started to where I am now.

I graduated college with a degree in English and a minor in music. Then, the sewing bug hit! I got my first sewing machine, and I'd watched my Mom make us matching dresses and all sorts growing up but never learned to properly sew. I decided it was time, and I just never stopped!

I started with pillows, then aprons. I was very intimidated by patterns so mostly I made up my own designs. My friends started inquiring about buying the aprons I was making, and that's how my business was born! That's why my earlier logo was a lady with an apron on.

In 2007 I started my Etsy shop. As I got more comfortable sewing and using patterns, I was excited to finally be able to sew my own clothes. I've always loved vintage styles and leaned into that! I went crazy dress making, and even started making dresses for other people, a couple tea length 50s style wedding dresses for friends, a set of mint bridesmaids dresses for another friend.

Then I started dabbling in children's dresses and costumes! It was so much fun, I was fulfilling my childhood princess dress dreams. And then...I started making matching doll dresses for some of those.

That's when my obsession with doll clothes began! I haven't looked back since. I still make some aprons and people clothes now and then, but my primary focus is dolls, because they are so satisfying to dream up and create for me! My Mom's Mom, my Nannie was from England and she was a doll maker and seamstress, so I feel like I'm carrying on a family tradition of sorts.

I recently changed my logo to something that I felt reflected my current work better since I don't primarily make aprons anymore. You know it had to be pink! 😉😊🩷🩷🩷

I'm so excited to finally release the Hoopskirt! Made with light cotton batiste, two rows of boning, and a eyelet lace ruffle trim. This is something I've long wanted to have available to pair with my historic and full skirted styles to add maximum fullness. I plan to have these regularly in stock in my Etsy shop!

A little peek at an upcoming project!

Hello my friends!! It has been a little while, this year keeps throwing curve balls at me. BUT! I'm crossing my fingers I am back on track now, and already working on several upcoming projects.

Here's a fun little something I just added to my shop, some hair bows that coordinate with a few of the dresses in my shop! I've just restocked more of the Barbie inspired Pink Gingham dresses, and now you can get hair bows to match! They're available in my Etsy shop now.
