Gift of Time – Gift of Space – Gift of You We are made better by your presence and participation.
Our biennial convocation, taking place from July 10 - 13, 2023, gives you the opportunity to step away from your day-to-day routines and enter into a time of fellowship, growth, education, and renewal. Convocation is a time to participate in seminars, workshops, reading sessions, discussion opportunities, intensives, fellowship opportunities, transformative worship, and so much more! Convocation i
and give today to help ensure that the work of The Fellowship continues for generations to come!
Convocation attendees who participate in Pre-event Intensive Seminars are blessed to be a blessing.
When you register to take part in one of these exciting seminars, you receive the opportunity for small group instruction from one of our gifted leaders in the choral, dance, or handbell focus areas of worship arts. This rehearsal time, and the attention to technique which it provides, not only helps you live into your gifts, but equips you with the knowledge and confidence to help others learn. These are techniques that you can take back to your local churches and communities to help provide transformative worship experiences in your contexts.
Your time in these seminars is also a blessing to all who will join us in Dallas for Convocation 2023: For Such a Time as This. Those who sign up for the choral and handbell intensives will participate in worship services throughout the week.

The Fellowship of Worship Artists is very excited to partner with Highland Park United Methodist Church (HPUMC) as one of our two major event venues for Convocation 2023.
When you attend Convocation this summer, you will get to experience worship in various spaces at Highland Park. Highlights will include reveling in the glory of the traditional sanctuary's cathedral-esque acoustics, as our Convocation Choir sings and HPUMC's Porter Memorial Carillon rings God’s praise; experiencing the modern worship zone, Cornerstone; beautiful music on the organ; and so much more.
Highland Park has lent itself as a beacon of hospitality to The Fellowship and will also be the site of multiple meals together as well as our afternoon seminars. We are looking forward to our time with HPUMC and to worshiping together with you.

This collaborative nature is one of the hallmarks of The Fellowship of Worship Artists, and is being lived into in new ways through our partnership with Perkins School of Theology - Southern Methodist University. To tell us more about the exciting possibilities that stem from bringing our Fellowship members into relationship with the staff and students of Perkins, we offer you a short video from Rev.
