Bayside Adventure Sports is looking for something like this… anyone else?

Exciting news! TRTA is partnering up with NOLS Wilderness Medicine this spring and offering two weekends of a 2-day Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course.

This fast-paced, hands-on training is designed to meet the needs of trip leaders, camp staff, outdoor enthusiasts, and individuals working in remote locations. It will introduce you to caring for people who become ill or injured far from definitive medical care.

We will be offering two different classes for you to choose from:

🌲April 6 @ 7:45 am - April 7 @ 5:00 pm
❤️‍🩹May 4 @ 7:45 am - May 5 @ 5:00 pm

You can register for these courses at: https://tahoerimtrail.org/events/

Make sure you snag your spot before your summer adventures!

Interesting

Think wolf spiders are creepy? Meet the wasp mantidfly! Despite its name and appearance, it isn't a wasp or a mantis. Most closely related to lacewings, these insects use their mantis-like arms to catch insects and their wasp-like appearance to deter predators. Believe it or not, these insects are parasites to wolf spiders, laying their eggs on the spider's egg sac and getting wrapped inside where the larva will feed on the spider eggs until pupating! 😱
