Preparing to be “Job ready on day one.”

We are the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Paris Chapter of SkillsUSA. We are proud to be part of a national non-profit organization which empowers its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens. We are preparing to be part of our nation’s skilled workforce through the development of Framework skills that include personal, workplace and technical skills grounded in academics. Part of our mission includes community service which we see as instrumental in developing our character and service orientation. We believe in integrity, work ethic, professionalism, responsibility, teamwork, multicultural sensitivity, leadership, and other skills employers seek in their workers. We also believe our involvement in SkillsUSA helps us to develop these skills along with the technical and career training we pursue.

The SkillsUSA organization serves more than 335,000 students and instructors annually. The TCAT Paris Chapter maintains 100% membership of students and staff.

In addition to participating in state and national competitions each year, we plan activities and projects which help us put into practice the personal, workplace, and technical skills grounded in academics which prepare us to be “Job ready on day one.”
