Alia + Mihakka—This is where it all began. After spending time in Morocco and experiencing beldi cleanser at the Hammam, I knew it was something special. Beldi is a time-honored, simple tradition of saponifying oil that spans 1200 years.

Traditionally made with olives (super emollient for the whole body) DEHIYA’s is made with 100% Argan oil. It’s light, pH balancing, and skin softening.

A reminder for proper beauty sleep 😴

This picture was taken inside the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca and it’s one of my favorites of Soufian and me together. I met Soufian, whom I fondly refer to as The Herbalist, in 2015 in the mellah (Jewish Quarter) in Marrakech. I was walking through the stalls where all the shopkeepers would stand outside their doors soliciting passerby to come inside. I was polite but kept it moving. I happened upon Soufian’s (century-old) apothecary where he was standing outside like the rest but when he spoke to me, it was not to sell me something. His approach was different. He is a 4th generation Herbalist. I was impressed.
