NSIA Hollywood Bowl, what an amazing event! Walking the red carpet never looked better. Thank you to all who attended, for your beautiful costumes, movie themed shirts, our local elegant reporter and, of course we have to mention, the Ghost Busters for keeping us safe! It gets harder and harder every year to top our prior event, but somehow the bowling committee continues to do it. If you weren't there, you missed out on a great overview of the 2023 Nevada Legislative Session, provided to our Southern Nevada Membership by NSIA Lobbyist, Lindsay Knox, and NSIA Legal Representative, Dalton Hooks. We are very appreciative of all the hard work and support given from our representatives and everyone on the NSIA Legislative Committee. We know it was a very busy session, with a lot of bills which would impact or potentially impact Nevada workers' compensation. We are grateful for the time everyone gave to helping with these very complex and important matters... and also very grateful that the 82nd regular session of the Nevada Legislature has ended .
We are excited to host a Legislative Update meeting for our Northern Nevada Members on June 27, 2023. For all of you members who are up north, we hope to see you there!

NV RIMS and NSIA Northern Chapter are joining forces this year to bring you the 2023 Golf Tournament!
Join us for the 2023 NV RIMS/NSIA Northern Chapter Golf Tournament, scheduled for Thursday, August 10, 2023 at LakeRidge Golf Course. The tournament will begin at 8:00am, shotgun style.
With our combined organization event this year, a beautiful course for play, several sponsorship opportunities, pre-golf mixer, an awards ceremony & raffle with a delicious lunch, we expect this tournament to fill up fast. Therefore, get your registration and payment in ASAP to secure your spot! Registration and payment must be received by August 2, 2023.
If you register as a sponsor for the golf tournament, you have the opportunity to put marketing items in the golf goody bag. We ask that the marketing items pertain to golfing or the outdoors if possible, such as golf balls, sunscreen, golf towels, lotion, eye glass cloths, breakfast/nutrition bars, hand sanitizer, gum, mixed nut bags, tees, ball markers, etc. Be sure to have your logo, a sticker of your logo or your business card on the marketing items to ensure recognition. Sponsors will also be allowed the opportunity to bring marketing items to place on the sponsor table at the awards luncheon following the tournament. We urge you to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
Raffle prizes are welcomed and will be raffled during our awards luncheon. If you are donating raffle items, please be sure to attach your business card for recognition.

The 2023 tournament theme is HOLLYWOOD BOWL. We are inviting you to walk the Red Carpet as you enter the Oscars to take pictures, view movie posters and experience a day of entertainment. We look forward to seeing some wonderful actor and actress costumes - and we are awarding a prize for the Best Dressed Team and Best Dressed Character!

Yee-Haw, what a ride! The Inaugural NSIA Northern Chapter bowling tournament could not have been more of a success!! With 86 bowlers and numerous sponsors, the first Chapter event has set the bar sky high for future events.

As you may have heard, we are meeting on a TUESDAY this month so that nobody has to choose between going to the NSIA North Rodeo Bowl event or the NSIA South General Membership meeting.

The Nevada Self-Insurers Association Northern Chapter invites you to participate in our Inaugural Bowling Tournament. It will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at the Coconut Bowl.
The 2023 Bowling theme is RODEO BOWL. “Can we get a yee haw?” Be sure to wear your best Rodeo attire for a chance to win a prize for the Best Dressed Team!

Happy Friday!
I hope you all had a wonderful start to 2023! We are looking forward to seeing you next Friday at the Westgate for our first General Membership meeting of the year. Dr. Peter Su will be presenting and providing great information and, of course, there will be raffle prizes at the end of the meeting! I have also attached the 2023 Member Registration form for anyone who needs it or has not registered as a member for this year. Remember that your membership dues are paid based on your Certificate of Insurance regardless of number of entities covered under one Certificate of Insurance so if you have multiple entities or employees located in various locations throughout the state, under one Certificate of Insurance, they are all eligible to participate in NSIA under one membership (it doesn’t matter which NSIA Chapter).
