As part of our “First Love” Series, shared on friendship with Jesus Pt 2 two weeks ago.
John 15: 9 - 15 says ““As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this:
Love each other as I have loved you.
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business.
Instead, I have called you friends,
for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you”
There is a clear invitation to friendship, and we have the ability to respond to that invitation.
Join us this this Sunday for the second last Sermon of our “First Love” series
As part of our “First Love” series we were blessed to have Ps. from with us for two services both in Vredehoek and Newlands earlier this month.
In our time together, Gilian reminded us that intimacy and friendship with the Father isn't merely an option — it is a profound and costly. Gilian shared a moving message, baring his soul about his personal walk with the Lord.
He emphasized how friendship and intimacy with the Father aren't just whimsical choices but paths that demand sacrifice and commitment. It's about more than mere existence; it's about a transformative relationship that reshapes our very being.
Let's embrace the costliness of this intimacy and step into the depths of connection with the One who is our life.
Join us this Sunday at 5pm in one of our two locations.
As part of the Every Nation Growth path which is to Engage, Establish, Equip & Empower believers, we had a special time at our Foundations Course a few weeks back.
Through the local church we seek to establish Word-based convictions and foundations in our lives and equip us to help others in the same way.
“everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice…” Matthew 7:24-27 NIV
We will have another Foundations Course in the new year
B A P T I S M SUNDAY!
“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Romans 6:4
We had another incredibly special time as a number of people made a public declaration of faith.
We now have a new life!
LIV Durban places vulnerable and orphaned children into a family environment where they receive unconditional love, spiritual discipleship, care and nurturing.
Join us in prayer as we go to serve the staff and children on the village in 2024.

Recently, we were blessed to host Pastor Bernhard Wewege, all the way from Every Nation, Christchurch in New Zealand, at our Vredehoek location. 🇳🇿
Bernhard's sermon reminded us that as servants of the Lord, we're called to be bearers of His light.
Like a city on a hill, we are meant to shine, serving as beacons of light in this world
We are the salt of the earth, influencing the world around us with Christ's truth and love.
Our Christian life should have a visible impact, just like a lamp on a stand illuminates the entire house.
Let's live out our faith with boldness, leaving a mark on the lives we touch.
Join us every Sunday at 5pm in one of our two locations.
We can never graduate from knowing, understanding and living from sound Biblical foundations
Excited to dive into what we believe to be the foundational blocks of our faith and walk with Jesus Christ
See you tomorrow at - Vredehoek
‘After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!’ - Mark 1:14-15 | NIV
The Sunday before last we gathered at our Newlands venue to receive a special message from our guest speaker Richard Kidger, from EN Toronto in Canada 🇨🇦
Richard's message was a profound reminder of the (big) irreducible Gospel that underlies our walk as Christians. It's a message bearing good news that the Kingdom is near. As God’s children we need to respond by following Him, being a part of and building community, and joining hands together to bring God’s Kingdom to earth.
Let this message resonate with and guide you as you live out your faith. Together, we can be the hands and feet of God, bringing His truth to a world in need.
Join us every Sunday at 5pm in one of our two locations
Join us today as we start with a new Sermon Series titled : FIRST LOVE !
See you at one of our two locations :

Excited to see you there!
We had an incredible time with our first (of many) Social Surprise Events this past weekend
It is a clear principle in the life of Jesus that he values relationship. He values knowing and being known. He loved eating together with his disciples.
In Acts 2:46 it describes the early church as follows : “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
We recognise that real authentic relationship is one of the most prominent principles in the Gospel.
Social Surprise is an opportunity to invest in relationships in the church, open our homes to one another and getting to know new people or getting to know people better by sharing a meal and fellowship!
Excited for the next one!
Join us for our final STUDENT worship night for 2023 🙌🏼
Newlands (DM us for more info)
See you there for some worship and prayer
In our series on GLORIOUS GRACE, we have been on a journey with the idols in our lives.
As we read Genesis 3:1-7 we have learned that Adam and Eve eating the fruit is not the first sin, but rather the sin if idolatry in their hearts occurred first which led them to eat the fruit.
Idolatry is the sin beneath the sin (the action).
“Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ”
“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.”
Genesis 3:1-7 NIV
“Then the church throughout Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.” - Acts 9:31
Settling in to our new venue at Westerford High School in Newlands, our hearts are filled with joy and faith for God’s plans for us in this fresh chapter! May Acts 9:31 inspire us to extend His Kingdom together, through fear of the Lord and with the encouragement of the Holy Spirit.
Join us this Sunday at 5pm, friends and family are always welcome!
