A New Moon is coming... โโโโโโโโโTo me, itโs a time for reflection and interception, an invitation to step back and pause. It's an opportunity to realign with our values and ponder our purpose as we prepare to sow new seeds of intention about how we choose to move forward. โโโโโโโโโ
It is also a beautiful reminder to honour the ebb and flow of life and our inner seasons.
In today's fast-paced world, life can feel overwhelming and intense. I'm always open to any opportunity to pause, process my thoughts, catch up, and make the necessary changes. Yet, often, it's challenging to find that time, and I realise that I have to intentionally carve it out for myself.
It may look different for each of us, but recognising our needs and actively working to fulfil them is where the journey begins.
Creating space for you to pause and reflect is what replenishes me, feeling the shared energy of intention and self-connection is a powerful thing. You feel it too. Connecting with yourself and your heart's desires can feel liberating and grounding at the same time.

I used to have this idea that self-care meant indulging in elaborate rituals, splurging on expensive products, and dedicating hours of my day to complex routines. โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโBut as my journey progressed, I realised that the most profound acts of self-care are often the simplest ones.
I've learned that true self-care isn't about checking off boxes or following someone else's prescribed routine.
Self-care is not what social media presents us. This unrealistic idea of what we see online can often feel out of our reach, creating yet another reason to not feel โgood enoughโ.

Anxiety is ultimately the separation from your present self.โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Whether it be an experience in your physical environment or a โwhat-ifโ scenario playing out in your mind the overwhelming feeling is that you are unsettled and unsafe.
Itโs important to know that your mind will perceive an imaginary, โwhat-ifโ scenario the same way it perceives physical danger in your external environment.
So your body will react to that danger whether it is happening now or as a projection of a future experience in your mind.
How you breathe says a lot about how you are feeling, and changing how you breathe can shift your mindset, transform your mood, and re-balance your nervous system.
When your thoughts start to race your well-being shifts, and the scales tip towards fight-flight (your activation, high-alert mode) and it can feel like brain gremlins that have taken up residence in your head!
Self-doubt, overwhelm and feelings of fear can be hard to switch off. They can make you feel anxious and disconnected, which are feelings I know all too well.
When I feel this way I find it helpful to remember thisโฆ When you canโt control your thoughts, focus on changing how you are breathing.
Simply becoming aware of how you are breathing can help you better understand your emotions and what your body needs in that moment. By focusing on breathing consciously and intentionally, you can positively impact your physical, mental and emotional well-being.

Space is a mental state; finding mental headspace, and allowing yourself time to pause and process everything you are moving through.
What if we tried PAUSING rather than pushing?
Simply pausing long enough that we became present.

This tired face is taking the rest of the week off (kind ofโฆ) Iโll be rolling out the mat to vibe with the Big Love yogis tomorrow night and Friday morning but the rest of my days will be spent outside (when this London drizzle subsides!) and embracing my two loves all the more. ๐ป๐ถ
Itโs time to recharge.
As an advocate for rest, it can often look (and feel) like Iโve got this work-life balance โthingโ nailed but life still throws a brutal blow from time to time and the truth is there's always something going on under the surfaceโฆ
At the retreat on Saturday, I felt an incredible sense of presence in my body and I was grounded in the energy of sharing - it felt divine! That feeling is one I wish to nurture and sustain for myself, creating an overflow to radiate out to you awesome humans!
