Woods Rising
Woods Rising is a Folk/Pop acoustic outfit led by Derek Woods and Sara Rising Woods Rising is a folk rock acoustic setup lead by Derek Woods and Sara Rising.
The group began in January 2013 as a spin-off of Derek Woods Band, the 5-piece rock n' roll band fronted by Derek. With vocals by both Sara and Derek, light percussion and acoustic guitar, the group showcases both covers and originals. The band also performs as a trio including an upright bassist, Chris Schaney. Woods Rising plays locally as well as traveling gigs throughout the entire year and is looking forward to a wide array of shows in 2017/18.
