The Climate Country Radio project continues! Yesterday was an amazing photo shoot with Velvy Appleton, and a visit with fabulous mixer/masterer Oz Fritz.

This short set of public service songs on climate mitigation and adaption is coming your way in the spring with big thanks to the Upstate California Creative Corps and California Arts Council!

Aaand that's a wrap on recording! Climate Country Radio is off to mixing stage, in the trusty hands of Oz Fritz. Our last session just included the fabulous Mei Lin Heirendt on fiddle and voice, as well as Sean Feder and I sewing up some odds and ends. Huuuge thanks to our mighty sound engineer Tom Menig!

More great recording sessions for Climate Country Radio! (An upcoming set of public service songs for radio, on climate mitigation and adaption.)
On Monday we had Joe Ybarra add super groovy pedal steel to three tracks, and Sean Feder add more sweet dobro and spunky banjo. Can't wait to release this music, from Tom Menig's Silver Maple Studio, coming this spring!

Watch out, we've started recording for Climate Country Radio!

Six public service songs on climate adaptation and mitigation are coming to the radio waves this spring! Huge thanks to bassist The Brett Cole, drummer David Clouse, multi-instrumentalist Sean Feder, and engineer Tom Menig at Silver Maple Studio in Grass Valley. More next week!

This project is funded in part by the California Arts Council, a state agency, through the Upstate California Creative Corps.

If you're near Davis, CA and haven't experienced "Home for the Holidays" yet, this might be the year! All funds go toward arts in the schools.

I'm extremely honored to announce that I've been awarded a grant by the Upstate California Creative Corps!

Grantees' projects are designed to increase awareness for issues such as public health, water and energy conservation, climate mitigation, and emergency preparedness, relief and recovery, with extra emphasis on reaching Northern California's most vulnerable communities.

My project is called Climate Country Radio. I'll be writing, producing, recording, distributing, publicizing and documenting a collection of six, short info-tunes on issues listed above. My plan is that by May 2024, you'll be hearing these catchy, educational, twangy songs on your radio. Wish me luck, please!

Hannah here 🙂 We are SO excited to be performing for the first time at the Chico Women's Club! I have so many special memories here; sharing music with artists I've looked up to since I was a little feral teenager with a guitar, dancing with my dearest friends, and making lifelong ones at shows put on there for the past 10 years.
