We are so thankful for the team who joined us in Tanzania last week as we pioneer our work there. Your encouragement and prayer was so powerful! So glad you made it home safely.
It was an early morning for the team before their long drive back to Nairobi with a stop at the border to check paperwork and reconnect with new friends made on their way into Tanzania.
The team and our missionaries spent the day in the village of Matala praying over the area and asking the Lord if this might be a village the Lord has prepared for us to serve. Please continue to pray for and with the team and our BOL missionaries that we would be able to discern His voice and plans for us in Tanzania.
Today, the team helped us host a Pastors’ seminar in the Mang’ola region of Tanzania to introduce Bread of Life and our vision for those tribes in that area to come to know Jesus. We’re hoping to build some strong partnerships and support with churches already established in the more populated parts of the region to reach the most remote areas where the Gospel has yet to be preached.
Our team spent the morning meeting people from the Datooga tribe, the second tribe we’re hoping to reach with the Gospel. The afternoon found the team praying over the land we’re hoping to build our mission base on in Tanzania, not far from Lake Eyasi. r
We’re so excited to have the team with us in Tanzania laying a foundation of prayer for the ministry we’re pioneering there. Today the team was introduced to the Hadzabe tribe, one of 3 tribes were hoping to serve in the Mangola area. They also got to stop on the shores of Lake Eyasi.
Such a great first full day in Tanzania starting to get to know this new mission field.
We’re so excited that our team from made it to Nairobi last night and are on their way to serve with our Tanzania team today!
Thank you so much to our amazing team from who served so faithfully in 2 villages this past week. The Lord used you to bring His message to men, women, and children who needed to hear it! ’gan’g
The team is officially back at the BOL base from doing fruitful ministry in Kaban’gan’g. We just wanted to share a couple of photos with you. More to come! The team will be serving in Namariat village for the rest of the week.
Sorry for the lack of photos from our team! They made it safely to the new village of Kaban’gan’g last night in time to hold an evening service. They’ll have another one tonight after VBS, youth ministry, and women’s ministry. (I’m checking in on them, but I’m stuck in a hospital in Lodwar for a couple of days, so I can’t be with them currently. 😕 - )
The team served at 3 of our churches local to Namariat this morning including Nakepokon, Kanyangapus, and Namariat itself. What a blessing for these 3 congregations!
We’re so excited to get to welcome the mission team to the Bread of Life Namariat Base for an amazing week of ministry. Follow us to keep up with the team!
Please pray for our brothers Micah Losuru and Jack as they pioneer our work in the Mangole area of Tanzania among the Hadzabe people. Bringing the Gospel to a people who have never heard it has its joys and challenges. Thank you for joining us in prayer for them.
Happy Birthday to our Leader, Joel Maregwa! Thank you for allowing the Lord to use you in mighty ways!

Please keep this fabulous team in your prayers! They are repioneering our work in South Sudan. Simon, Emmanuel (AKA Governor), and James (all with gray backgrounds) will be spending the better part of this year reestablishing roots for our work there. Lonyia (yellow background) is serving as their initial guide as they serve the Toposa people. Lonyia was brought from a Toposa village by William, our late missionary brother who originally pioneered the work there. Lonyia’s mom sent him to Kenya with William with dreams of Lonyia receiving an education. He’s currently in college studying agriculture which he’s planning to follow up with BOL’s Missionary Training School so he can take his new skill back to his Toposa people along with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
You can be part of carrying the message of Christ to new people and new tribes. As we send out our teams into 3 new areas, we need your prayer and financial support to make it happen! These 3 amazing women have taken up the call to start both a church and a school in Natelo, a small village in Turkana on the border with Uganda. Please pray for them as they start meeting with the children for school this week. PS We still have 8 awesome kids who need sponsors to attend school. Stop by www.breadoflifeafrica.com/child-sponsorship to meet them.
We spent most of our day driving from Urum to Lodwar where we hit up the DT dream shops for some diracs. The team leaves early tomorrow morning for a day and Nairobi and then flying out tomorrow night. What a blessing the team has been to the people of Urum and Natelo as well as to Bread of Life in general. We can’t wait to have you join us on the mission field again soon!
The team spent their morning ministering to the children of Natelo. From songs to Bible stories, to candy, gifts, and bracelets, the kids had an amazing time with their first American team! What a blessing the has been to these communities!
What a powerful morning of going to war using worship throughout Natelo!
It was an amazing day at church under the tree in Natelo and children’s ministry. On the way home, the rain started…and turned into a real downpour. We’ll eventually dry anything out! 🌧️
It’s our last little flight to Lodwar! See you soon, Turkana!
We’re so excited that the team has made it to Nairobi! Off to the guesthouse for a couple hours sleep then an early flight to Turkana.
We are so excited to share that we still have 8 adorable kids that are looking for a sponsor. Is that sponsor YOU? Meet these cuties and join the Bread of Life Sponsors’ Family at www.breadoflifeafrica.com/child-sponsorship.
