A somber experience…the magnitude! There was almost a holy hush…a reverence… as people strolled through this beautiful cemetery with pretty much nothing but the birds singing!
May we never forget and always be grateful for such a sacrifice. For those who were never identified…a cross was placed with the verse
“HERE REST IN HONORED GLORY
A COMRAD IN ARMS
KNOWN BUT TO GOD”

We took a tour of the Airborne Museum. It was such a neat walk back in time seeing all of the museum. It brought such a sense of patriotism and thankfulness for all we have as a nation because “all gave some and some gave all”!!

Beautiful historic Bayeux, France. This is one of the first liberated cities during WWII from the German occupation. One can easily envision our very tired troops marching down these streets. This is such a neat place to meander through!

Our next very neat part of our trip was coming into NYC. Yep…we were up at 3:50 to see the Statue of Liberty!! Awesome sight!! May she ALWAYS stand for freedom and opportunity!!

One of the most surreal and touching places we visited was in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We went to one of the 3 cemeteries ( Fairview Cemetery ) to see some of the graves of the victims of the Titanic. It truly made it so real to us! Here are a few of the markers that have been put on the graves. By the way…there is a marker at the grave for “Jack”…from the movie. The real J Dawson.

We’ve had such a fun day touring some cities and villages in Spain. Malaga, Marbella, and our favorite was a mountain side village or town called Mijas. There amazing views and interesting sites are from Mijas. For example…Donkey Taxis. They’ve been around a long, long time. In this village they do the “Bull Runs”…and they also have a bull fighting arena.
