Need to get caught up on messages at the Ridge! Listen in as pastor Wes shares a powerful story of a woman he met and how she showed him something powerful about himself and God.
Wes delves into the profound message found in Romans 2:6-11, emphasizing the importance of loving Jesus Christ with all one's heart, mind, and soul. The pastor explains that salvation is not based on works but on the condition of one's heart and relationship with Jesus. He stresses that every individual will face God's judgment and must choose between life and prosperity or death and adversity. The sermon calls listeners to examine their hearts and ask whether they truly love Jesus above all else, as this love will overflow into a life of obedience and faithfulness.

Are you stuck in the downward spiral of sin? 🌀
In Sunday's sermon, we learned about the four steps of this dangerous drift:
1️⃣ Shutting God out of our lives 2️⃣ Allowing sin to become deeply rooted as our minds become depraved 3️⃣ Becoming overwhelmed by all forms of evil 4️⃣ Endorsing and encouraging the sins of others
But there is HOPE! 🙌
The reversal of this spiral begins with the righteousness of God through Christ. By trusting in Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross, we can be covered by His righteousness and break free from the grip of sin.
Don't let your mind remain depraved - allow the Holy Spirit to renew and transform your thoughts. Dwell on what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy. 🌅
If you're feeling stuck and hopeless, remember the words of Paul: "Thank God! The answer is Jesus Christ our Lord." 🙏
It's time to take that first step towards freedom. Call out to Jesus today and let Him be your greatest treasure. 💎
Share this message with someone who needs to hear it! Let's spread the hope and love of Christ together. 🤝

"Exchanging God's Truth for a Lie: A Compassionate Yet Truthful Response"
In today's culture, the issues of sexual identity and homosexuality have become a battleground. As Christians, how should we respond?
In this recent sermon on Romans 1, we are challenged to avoid selective moral outrage and instead assess our own spiritual and conditions. We must hold to the truth of God's Word and design for sexuality. But we are called to do so with humility, compassion and grace.
The goal is not to drive people away, but to be a safe place where we can walk alongside those dealing with sexual temptation and share the love of Christ. We can disagree with someone's lifestyle yet still extend genuine love and acceptance of them as a person.
The good news is that in Christ, we are not defined by our past struggles and sins. As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 6, "such were some of you" - but you were washed, sanctified and justified in Jesus' name! That redemptive hope is what we want to be known for as a church.
"We are far worse than we ever imagined and far more loved than we could ever dream." - Tim Keller

Missed Sunday's sermon and don't have time to catch up? Here are 5 Key Takeaways & 3 actions in less than one minute:
Key Takeaways:
1. The Gospel is not an accidental story but a divine narrative woven into the fabric of history, promised through the prophets and fulfilled in Jesus Christ. This intentional love story reveals a God who is never caught by surprise and who had a plan for redemption before the foundation of the world. ([18:14])
2. Jesus Christ, the center of the Gospel, is both fully human and divine. His lineage from David fulfills Old Testament prophecy, and His resurrection confirms His deity. This duality of Christ's nature is essential to understanding the Gospel and its implications for our lives. ([22:12])
3. The Gospel calls us to a life of grace and apostleship, where we are not only saved but also sent to live out and reproduce our faith. This calling is transformative, moving us from death to life and from passive belief to active obedience for the sake of God's glory among all nations. ([24:36])
4. Our lives are to be a reflection of the Gospel, intentionally lived for God's glory. When we embrace this purpose, we experience the most adventurous, exciting, and delightful life possible, which in turn becomes a testimony to others of God's greatness. ([31:13])
5. The Gospel should be loved, lived, and let loose. We are to cherish it, allow it to transform us, and share it with others. In doing so, we become beacons of hope and grace, embodying the message of salvation to a world in need. ([41:21])
3 Action Steps:
1. Identify a specific way you can live out the Gospel this week in your interactions with others, demonstrating the obedience of faith.
2. Think of someone in your community who may be struggling to see the love of Christ. How can you intentionally show them Christ's love this week?
3. Choose one attribute of Jesus' character that you want to emulate more closely. What is a practical action you can take to cultivate this attribute in your daily routine?

Let's reflect on the cross of Jesus.
90% of people get spirituality quite wrong.
I have listened to countless sermons and spiritual teachings that tend to complicate things, especially when first starting out —here's what I think might be a better way:
• Step 1: Show up... Most people wait for the perfect moment to start their spiritual journey. Instead, just try taking the first step, even if you're unsure, and trusting that growth will follow. Instant change of perspective happens when you just show up.
• Step 2: Open your heart and mind... Once you've achieved the courage to show up, then you need to:
1) Set aside preconceived notions
2) Be willing to experience something new
• Embrace the journey of self-discovery... Countless individuals have achieved a deeper sense of purpose by taking it in WITH discernment. There's a lot of junk humans put in the way of getting to know Jesus and his teachings. Go to the source to make your opinions, not the cascade. Read the book of John and start there.
• Step 3: Connect with a supportive community... Finally, to get ahead of the 90%, you need to surround yourself with people who uplift and encourage you. That's easy to say, but not simple to do. I remember the first time I walked into a church service, feeling nervous and out of place. But the warmth and acceptance I experienced after working (harder than I thought) to become part of the community activities and outreach, changed everything. It wasn't always easy, but the relationships I formed and the personal growth I achieved made it all worth it in the end. It's hard—but worth it in the end. Remember, your priority and primary focus is on Jesus, not the messiness all around.
This Easter Sunday, we invite you to take the first step towards a more meaningful spiritual life.
Join us for a special celebration where you'll be welcomed with open arms, no matter your background or beliefs.
Come as you are, with all your questions and doubts, and experience the transformative power of a loving community. 🌟
Here's how to get started:
1. Make the decision to attend our Easter Sunday service at 9am or 11am at The Ridge Church.
2. Open your heart and mind to new possibilities
3. Get ready to connect with a supportive community that will be with you every step of the way
Embarking on a spiritual journey is hard, but the rewards are immeasurable. This Easter, give yourself the gift of a new beginning and discover the life-changing power of faith and connection.
