We were saddened to hear that the incredible conductor Seijii Ozawa passed away. Manuel Barrueco had the honor to perform with him conducting the Boston Symphony in four concerts in the American premiere of Toru Takemitsu’s “To the Edge of Dream.” This poster hangs as an inspiration outside Barrueco’s studio.

We were sad to hear that the incredible conductor Seijii Ozawa passed away. Manuel Barrueco had the honor of performing with him conducting the Boston Symphony Orchestra in four concerts in 1986. This poster hangs as an inspiration in front of Barrueco's studio. RIP.

"Beginning in fall 2024, the Peabody Conservatory will meet 100% of demonstrated financial need for all domestic undergraduate students without loans. Students who enroll at Peabody as domestic undergraduates with need-based financial aid, will receive financial aid packages without loans." 👏 👏👏 This is HUGE! Very successful weekend in Baltimore!

We're inspired and exhausted after the Guitar Society Summit in Baltimore this weekend. It was a weekend filled with information that will help us all in serving our communities better. We heard five outstanding speakers: Erin Donovan from rootED; Matt Hinsley from Austin Classical Guitar; Don Verdery from GAMI Simonds Visa; Adam Holofcener, Esq. from Maryland Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts; and Ken Skrzesz, former ex. dir. of the Maryland State Arts Council. Wonderful concert Andrzej Grygier performed for BCGS donors and the 24 organizations that were represented in the conference. Thank you all for making the time and trip to Baltimore and most of all, thanks to the Augustine Strings and the Peabody Conservatory for making this possible.

Dear Fans and Friends,
I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love and support that I've received during the last 24 hours.
Unfortunately, I'm facing a medical situation that requires some time off from performing and touring. I want to assure you that I'm receiving the best care possible, and I'm fully committed to making a complete recovery.
Music has always been a source of healing and strength for me, and I can't wait to be back on stage, sharing my music with all of you. The energy and connection I feel when I perform are truly special, and I always felt that I can say things throughout the years with my music more than words can express.
I'm planning to return in 2024, and I'm already looking forward to making music together once again. Your unwavering support means the world to me, and it's a driving force in my journey towards recovery.
