J. Walter Cameron came to Maui in 1923. He saw the hardships that families faced and envisioned a place where people could be helped and cared for, and where opportunities to experience growth and self-esteem were offered. This was his dream for the Center that bears his name.
Save this date on your calendar: HEARTS Connection is hosting the annual fundraising walk Hero's 4 Hearts (combined with the Buddy Walk). It will be held on Sat, Oct 5th, 2024, 10am-2pm in Bakersfield at Yokuts Park. There will be a kid zone, plus vendors for information, merchandise, and food.

The process of receiving an autism diagnosis can feel difficult and
overwhelming for parents or caregivers. Multiple visits to separate clinics and new professionals can be a lot, especially when you’re still learning the best ways to support and communicate with your kiddo.
